What is the single most frustrating/difficult thing to stop that you guys are running into online? And what do you do to stop it?

I have a few...

1. Goaline as offense for 2 downs and then 5 wide, run around and throw it up and see what happens. LBZ's quarters nano is pretty good for this. I'm wondering if anybody has other solutions.

2. Scrambling QB's. Not hurting me running the ball, but running around forever behind the LOS and then tossing it up to a crosser on the other side of the field.

3. Deep slant/Shallow post from the WR's. I dont know if this is considered a quick pass (I'm on 360), but the WR always beats the man coverage and jumps in front of my safety and grabs the ball (cpu controlled, not even a user catch).... I usually run a man under 2 deep and have to manually cover this with my MLB but any smart opponent will have mirror routes and go to the other side...?

Glad to see you can stop them for two downs LOL. The quarters nano won't work against anyone who quick snaps which most are doing now. I am starting to use nickel packages to get faster guys on the field and have them off the LOS so it's harder for the slow blockers to get to them. It basically kills the outside rush. Of course they can gash you in the middle, but most of these guys don't want to do that, do they?

This strat is still a big, big problem in 07. You simply can't match personnel or you will either stop them cold or give up a TD.

Depends how good the guy is. If he can read your defense, this is well nigh unstoppable. Most are not so good fortunately. I just run a quarters or dollar and blitz the slot corners. If they hot route an extra blocker, I take control of the blitzer and avoid the blocker.

I don't really have much trouble with scrambling QBs. I don't really enjoy playing Atlanta though. There just isn't much cat and mouse to it. Just blitz, blitz, blitz. Not too interesting.

Use zone delayed press. That will screw up his timing. Control your safety and get under the route. The other option would be to run a cover 2 zone and drop your guys back. This will stop this play in my experience. Of course, you will bring zero pressure. Weee....

Thanks for the input. I'm on 360, I dont think you can delay bump can you?

The problem I have with blitzing my slot DB's is that the good players exploit the flats. If I try to cover, they just roll around until a crosser comes open... But I guess when you face a good enough player, they will eventually find an answer to whatever it is you're doing...
