DEFENSE!!! Seriously bad here. I just played the Jets. The friggin Jets and I couldn't stop a thing. Curtis Martin was all over me. Even when I had two defenders ON him they couldn't tackle him. On obvious passing downs I was using 2 man under and dropping back to protect against the pass but still they were just eating up everything. I'm mostly frustrated because I just purchased the VG Virtual Playbook because I'm that bad and I've just got lit up since. I'm not even playing on All-Madden mode. It's All-Pro! I really just don't get this game. I thought I was getting it for a minute there but, NOPE! Also, my stick skills are non-existant. It seems that whenever I switch to the guy closest to the ball (on O and D) they seem to slow down right away...and do I have this right: Y is to go for a catch/pick, A is to swat, B is to switch to closest man. What is X for?

i never use "y" to make picks...it's "x" for picks and "a" to swat. i always swat unless it's for a sure an easy pick then i hit "x" for the grab.

Okay, I can try to train myself to do that. I will admit that for whatever reason I ALWAYS want to hit Y. In past years didn't that swat and/or go for the pick? I didn't realize when I started playing 07 that there were two seperate buttons for that.

I was the same way always using "y" but then i read on here that it was "x" to make picks and it works! i think even the manual says "y" which i used until i got online for some reason! it'll take a couple games to adjust but then it'll become second nature!
