Fan Safties out?

How do you fan the safties out to cover sidelines on the PS3 version?

You can fan the defensive line out, but I am not too sure about the safeties? To do this, simple hit "L1" and any direction on the "R-3 Analog Stick." Left=left, Right=right, etc, etc.
