Does anybody wife watch them play madden? My wife does, it cool sometimes untill she starts telling me who to pass to or what kind of play to run. What should i do or how do i tell her i don't need her help, in a nice way so we want fight after i turn off the ps3.

2 question.

Motherday is comming up and i need to find a better gift then clothes, dinner and the stuff guys think women like. Let me know about some of your good ideas....

the nicest way to do that is "Hey hon, can you get me a beer?" and get her out of the room.... lol

Outside of that, just say soemthing like "I got it hon" when selecting plays but while the play is in motion you're just going to have to work on your "selective hearing" skills (or wear an mp3 w/headset... :D

my g/f watches me play sometimes but she hardly ever comments while a play is happening, usually afterwards. And that's fine. i can handle that.

Mother's Day gift - a day at a full-care spa.... hair, nails, facial, massage, the whole 9.

Wait hold up. You are old enough to hang out in the Old Folks Home but your wife is still into you enough to watch you play Madden.

Being a 10 year vet of a really good marriage to a woman who HATES sports I would advise you to....shut up and throw her a bone here and there by taking her advice.

Just throw a bunch of hot routes in or audible out if you don't like the defense.

If my wife would actually be willing to be in the same room with me while I played a game, I would take that as a major plus :)

As far as gifts go, hook her up with an overnight trip with you and no kids to somewhere like a bed and breakfast. If you can't find a sitter, hook her up with an out of town trip with a friend of hers just to get away. We have 4 kids and for mother's day my wife loves this little quick overnighters.

I don't think you can win withthis one man. I would dream and love to have my wife to see me play. How about giving her a stick so she can play and understand what you go threw?

this is kinda funny, my g/f (who lives with me) isn't particularly fond of how much time i spend playing Madden but she still takes an interest in my league games and stuff... (and she is a football fan too, so that helps emmensely)

she'll ask who i am playing (she knows everyone in my VG leagues by their EA name.... she's still miffed that NJSurf calls himself "Cheeseball" online...lol), whether it's a league game or not, etc.... sometimes she'll watch for a minute, usually followed by "well that's bullshiet" when soemthign doesn't go right for me and then go do whatever until i'm done.

Bert's advice on a gift was nice suggestion btw.

I usually loose my cool and tell her to shut the **** up. In which case she would go to the tv and just unplug It, flip me the bird and i don't get sex or a cooked dinner for about 3 days. Kind of a steep price to pay., but i really get Into my games when i play.:D

Dude, I've been married 11 years. My wife doesn't even want to be in the same room when I play. She's usually on-line in the spare BR with some music turned up to drown out my disbelief at some idiotic play by the superhuman cpu MLB. To be fair the only sport she really likes is hockey. Although she did enjoy going to the Warthogs' baseball games when we lived in Winston-Salem. If she just leaves me alone and let's me play I consider it a huge favor.

Yea she doesnt say anything (when Im playing) but let a disagreement come up. One of the points she tries to make is that Im ALWAYS playing "that" video game....

This is a funny thread what cracks me up is when I can't score my girl always tells me "I don't know why you just don't throw the Hail Mary play DUH?"......only because when I play against her that's all she picks and I let her catch a few......so she thinks it's money all day:o

I Have 2 DVR's, She Like her soaps, so she will watch that in the bedroom, and I also find shows and DVr them, Ones I know she will watch, And she Loves Hockey, The Sabres, I do also, But I dont follow them till mid season, 82 games to much, But she wants to see evey one, and While Im downstairs playing Madden, she screaming and Chearing away upstairs, I just make sure it a nice TV up there and a comfortable place to relax, and she is good to Go and Im STR8, playing madden about any time I want because there is always something DVR'd or on Premium ch.s or Hockey :D I work for Time Warner Cable, so all the Ch's and DVR's for Free, so Plenty of things to Watch, if I need to get a league game in or Labbing,Im good to go, We also Go to movies and we Eat out 90% of the time we both hate Cooking, 25 years Happily not Marrid and Have no Kids....And Im a musician to boot, so Playing out 2-3 time a month and rehersal 1-2 times a week, Life is good with me...And she is the best...She dont like watching me play Madden, but loves the intro, and ask every so often to let it play through when I play a game, She loves Football also, Bills Fans, we used to have season tickets for 9 years, Just me and her, My friends did but were to rowdy for her and me, I like to go to games and relax to an extent, but wee still went crazy.. during the Bills glory years to Boot, but it became to much money and she started to Hate the Snow and Cold...Its all good thoug we still watch the games together..

My wife hates Madden with a passion. We have been married for 15 years. When I am playing a game she will come in the room and sigh and say are you playing that again? Sometimes when I playing she will stand in front of me and pull her shirt up and say aren't these more interesting? I am like get the hell outta the way! Then she starts getting frisky and I have to pause and say sorry gotta go!

But you get her in front of the TV for a Steeler or Buckeye game.......put in your ear plugs and give her some space!
We are season ticket holders for my old High school, and she gets alittle loud lol. We have had people move to different reserved seats because she is so into it. I just sit there and watch her lol. When I was in High School and played she used to be right in the front row with her cow bell and air horn lol. I would come to the sidelines and all the guys would say Dayum can you shut her up? I got her back though at her graduation. I brought the cow bell and air horn with me and made all kinds of noise when they called her name. I swear you could see her turn red from the bleachers.

My gf really haven't say anything to me as of yet. She is in NC and am in KY as of right now. But when she calls me and I am labbing or playing she won't even talked because I get into the game that much lol. I laughed my a$$ off about the graduation part and still laughing.:D
