does pump fake work?

Does the pump fake really fool the safety and the defensive AI in general? If so, does anyone have any nifty ways on how to utilize it?

Yes the pump fake dose work. it works best when you have some time to look over the defense and give your wideout a step on the safety or the corner. But you cant over use it when you do it will become less effect. i hope i answer your post im out alc.

I use the pump fake when i am on 3rd down and need big yards and i know d is not blitzing. i will pump fake and try to pull the safety off of my deep post route works pretty good.

yes. everything put in the game works to some degree. pump faking was a huge thing it seemed like last year, atleast i pumped faked on like every throw, however with this years game being based alot of quick passing, pumping doesnt matter. however deep balls, the combo of moving the vision + pump faking will destroy low awarness CBs and safetys especially.

The worst part about pump faking is that it gives the pass rush more time to get to the QB.

I rarely use it, but I know that it's helpful. Actually, the only times I use it are when I accidentally hit it when I screw up the controls with QB Vision.

I know it works, however, I don't use it that much. I do like to use it on double move routes if I have time. Like a hitch n go. That route kills the safety and the CB with a pump fake followed by a deep bullet - or deep lob if your receiver is fast enough to get good separation.

I use it when the opponent controls the safety and I think they'll fall for it. Fake to moss, turn, bomb to Porter. 6 points
