Sony announced their TV tuner and DVR at the German Games Convention. PlayTV will let you watch and record Digital Video Broadcast content on your console, allowing you to revord while you watch, too. You know, like TiVo.
Not only that, but you can control it remotely with your PSP and stream programs to the handheld device too. Users choose which shows to record from a seven-day grid in a system so easy-to-use, we bet your mom will be able to make it happen.
"The introduction of PlayTV really will extend the already broad entertainment credentials of PS3, and makes it an exceptionally attractive proposition for the whole family," said David Reeves, big cheese of Sony Europe.
No price or release date has been set, but we'll let you know when it has been
thats cool might have to get a PSP now :D
