View Full Version : New to the forums,Carolina defense questions

Hello all I'm new to the forums & I have a question(s) pertaining to Carolina's defense.Ok there secondary is known for not being great but if I'm playing vs. a team say for example the Titans,I get burned every time by David Givens & Brandon Jones who has an overall of 77 & I put my best cover man which is Ken Lucas but he allows way too many catches even when I'm controlling him.After I finish the game & look at the team stats,my pass defense is ALWAYS @ 30 or 31.I'm using the Saints defensive playbook & I make all the correct adjustments needed & I still get burned.:mad: It has also gotten to the point where I quit the game when the CPU just keeps throwing 50-90 yard bombs all damn day.Can anyone help with this problem because it happens to me on EVERY Madden game(except 05 & 06,I was playing ESPN NFL2K5 @ that point)Also should I keep my current playbook settings which are:Offense--San Diego,Defense--New Orleans or set them back @ default?

BTW let me also mention that I don't have this problem against Atlanta but it's always against the weak teams like Tampa Bay & Houston.

hey if u are gettin beat deep all the time why dnt u just run cover two i play with the panthers also and i almost never get beat deep. I use either the 4-3 or the 46 an i use STL on offense. If there is two guys on those crappy titans recievers then just user one and i almost gurantee ull be able to break up the playy

I'm currently using San Diego's offense & switched to their 3-4 defense,which is helping out some.I played the Titans last night & I used 3-4 Over:Trio Sky Man Zone & 3-4 Solid 2 Man Under & the result?Vince Young was held to 85yds passing,sacked 6 times & intercepted 5 times.
