Any Musicians That still Playout, and Play Madden.
Im 45 and play in a Rock/Punk Band and its pretty active Band with rehersals and Playing out, And Playing Madden really makes use of my time,Playing in 2 leagues and Labbing and a GF of 25 years, No Kids, and Keeps me young.
Just wondering if anyone else falls into my catagory. I havent seen anyone every mention it on the Forums anywhere....

i haven't played "out" in years. Actually gave up the whole "wannabe a rock star, i gotta band!" thing when i was about 24 or 25 - way too early to bail but couldn't find anyone who wanted to actually write some music instead of just being a club band doing cover tunes for free beer and puzzy. Even that gets old (for some of us) after a while. I kinda went on a Cat Stevens sabbatical for a few years (no religion involved in mine though, still have the same name too).

Since then it's been nothing but private get togethers, maybe an open mike night once in a great while to remind myself not to sing - just play the damn guitar, and the usual "break out the axe cuz the gang's all here and it's a party dammit! Play that funky music white boy!!!!!!!!!"

lol

one of these days i'll post up some of my music for all to hear, it won't be anything great, i promise :D

I play out 2 times a month, I play lead guitar, We do old songs like
1. Wild World 2. Land Down Under 3. Jenny Jenny 4. Country Road 5. Leaving On A Jetplane 6. 500 Miles 7. Science Fiction 8. Dannys Song 9. Summer Of 69 10. Sweet Caroline 11. Tainted Love 12. Rocket Man And Much More.... But we play them with a twist, in a rock/punk style and people love it, Believe it or not Original bands in Buffalo have to Pay to Play, a Band Like Mine Gets between $600-900 a night at these 2 big Clubs in Buffalo, we are doing a Big Show, for Zakke Wilde (Ozzy Osbournes Guitarist, Black Label Society) In December for "Toys for Tots" with some of Buffalo and surrounding areas biggest Bands, It will be the Biggest show Ive done In 10+ years, Im 45yrs young, Music and Madden keep me young, I have no true responsibilities, Im happily not married for 25yrs, and no Kids, 2 Dogs we love like they are our Kids, we cant have any, but its all good...So if you love playing out or just Playing, you dont have to give it up, Ive been out of the loop for over 10 years and Just started this band...
And it the Best therapy, To man...

I put up the alto sax years ago. Working full time and a family doesn't give me much practice time let alone try to get into a band for rehersals. Oh well, I'll keep playing Madden.
