i played this guy and he was alright and then he maid a come back but i had the ball with 1:30 to go and he had now timeouts so i did qb knell and he got mad and quit so i finished it vs. computer and when i won and went to look at my stat it said he won and didnt give me my stat. i got pissed off becuase i hate quiters.

did i cheat by knelling the ball?
is 2005 going to have if u quit u get the win without having to play the computer

Did you "cheat" because you knelt the ball? Pardon me, but thats a silly question. But we all know why you asked it... It's hard to NOT ask that question nowadays, with 95% of the people ready to point fingers and unwilling to accept responsibility for thier playcalls...

NO... You didn't cheat. The guy that quit is the cheater. Had he outplayed you before you knelt the ball, he wouldn't have needed to quit. He simply didn't want to accept the blame for making several BAD playcalls.

I cant tell you how many quitters I've played, only for them to get on a message board and claim they had REASON for quitting. SAPS. There is NEVER a reason to quit (barring a medical emergency), that makes it noble.

If you thought you were gonna get a str8 game, and the guy plays str8 but quits when the going gets rough... How str8 was the game. I'd rather play a "CHEESER" that can lose gracefully, than to play a STR8 player than can't. Alot of players actually use STR8/SIM standards as an excuse to quit games they can't win.

When i finished the game i looked on mine and his and it said 0-2 for that game. I have been reading on here and i think that is a cheat. The game was good and i just knelt the ball and he got pissed off and quit. I just want to know why didnt i get my stat.

Its the Disconnect glitch.My record now is 44-28 with a Disconnection of 13%. Ive gotten this glitch done to me about 5-6 times on this name. Not to mention people did it to me on my last name also. Its stupid when you earned your win but glitchers take it away from you by doin this glitch. :mad:

I thought it was. I hate people and noobs who come in here thinking there all bad *** and they get there *** whooped and then they cry and quit. When I am getting whooped i just last it though i dont quit. I hope 2005 has if you quit u get the stat without playing the cpu. thinks for all your info.

If someone uses the "Disc Glitch" on you does it affect your disconnect ratings? I have a zero disconnect rate.. And take pride in not quitting..Even when I am playing someone with a style that I may not neccessarily agree with...

Yeah it does affect your disconnect percentage. If you get disconnect glitched when you go back to the lobby it shows that both players have an 0-2 loss. And both of the players disc percentage goes up.

Don't resume the game. It's the only way to avoid it. If you resume the game, the clock goes on and it sets up the process of the glitch, which I won't explain.

Actually the other day i was playing a kid and he accused me of cheesing. So he told me i wasnt going to get the win. And im like ok... Well anyway he presses start and quit, and i didnt press resume or anything. I finished out the game and when i went back into the lobby it said we both had a 0-2 loss. must be a new glitch or something.

That's why I hardly play online anymore. I'll find someone that won't quit from time to time, but they run the same plays, so it doesn't feal realistic. I hope that they fix all this glitch crap in Madden 2005.


TT Fire, if you want to play a game sometime, let me know. I play with the Green Bay Packers, and I wouldn't mind having some good competition.
