I read in an interview with one of the EA Sports guys that during online games, the two coaches playing each other will have a certain # of points which determine their ranking. Whenever a coach beats his opponent, he gains some of his opponent's points. If you are away and you win, you earn more points as a bigger payoff to help out your rank if you are away.

The interesting thing about online play that I saw in the interview at Gamespot was that the teams will basically be equal. If a guy grabs Miami and his opponent plays with Standford then the ratings for each team won't be that much off. I don't know if this will be something that each user can agree to, but it does make playing online much more interesting.

The Even Teams mode will be a seperate mode. People can play that Miami vs. Stanford match you were talking about as being equal, but we will still be able to play the normal way too. I dont know if the Even Teams mode will be able to count towards your ranking.
