My problem so far has been knowing when to attack an when to block.I'll be blocking an than when it seems safe to attack i'll get caught in another attack b4 i know what happened.I guess i just gotta get used to the speed of the game an characters priorities.

Don't feel bad. I can't do them either.

Remember, you don't need them all.

You just need one you can set up and pull off in the heat of battle consistently.

Thanx for all the info.Yea those trials get pretty deep like the ones in sf4.Its funny i think i have pretty good stick in most games(even madden)but tryin some of those combos made me feel like a retard lol.

Learn the combos you can do, whether air or ground. Everyone has combos that are weak, mid, strong, launcher. Then you can follow them up and rinse and repeat - by hitting two attacks - then the launcer. If you hold forward while hitting the launcher in the air - your opponent will bounce - and another fighter will tag in to continue the combo. You can do it again to bring the 3rd character in to finish it off. Its easy, but also easy to avoid. If you find yourself getting juggled, just hit the launcher button and left or right when they try to launch you again to fall safely to the ground.

If you can do the crazy trial combos with any character consistently, then you have found your first guy. Those combos are insane.

Fighters like Hulk and Haggar aren't great meter builders, but they can take and dish out alot of damage. Players like Doom, and Ironman build meter by using their ranged attacks even if they are blocked. Chris does so much chip damage with his ranged attacks, that he barely needs to score hits. Just stay safe and keep them under fire. He doesn't build meter like the beam characters, but he deals damage like a champ - and can be played similarly. Long combo characters like Wolverine, Zero, and Tron Bonne build meter while dealing damage, but must be played aggressively and can't zone.

Take Viewtiful Joe for instance. At first, I thought he sucked - but then I realized that he allows for total aerial control - allowing you to keep from getting pinned down and always controlling the battlefield. He doesn't build meter or have great supers, but he can double jump and dash his way to overcoming any tactic.

My suggestion is to just have fun with the game early on. Don't worry about wins and losses. Just try all the characters out to see who you like and to see how they all play. Some characters are meter builders. Others are meter users. Some are both when played well. Some are neither, but serve best as assist characters - or are damage absorbers/dealers - or help establish fear of doing tactic X or Y for your opponent.
