defense against the run and the option play

    Hi Guys,
I would like to know if you guys are familiar with defense against wishbone(normal, tight, and wide), flexbone(general), I-form(tight, normal), maryland I, and power I/T. some of you guys can explain more specifics to everyone about defensive system against wishone, flexbone, I-form, maryland I, and power I/T. Possible is to stop them? what about the athletic QB and triple option? I hope that you may share some information with me. Thank for you time.

Those formations are tough because if you call a man defense your cornerbacks will automatically go inside towards the tightends. This leaves no one on the outside to play the pitch man on the option. Basically the defense is now in a numerical disadvantage. Against those type of formations I like to stay in balanced defenses such as the 4-4 and 4-3 with linebackers and defensive line shifted in opposite directions. Experiment with different defenses in practice against the cpu's offense on Heisman default.
