Question Now what do you think, Good, Bad, or just plain ole ugly?

Just got the game last night from game crazy about 9pm. Had to drive 60 miles to find a store that had it for sale. Just missed the locked doors by about a few minutes lol. Now for those of you that have this game, was it worth the wait? Check out the poll.

I love '05. The running game works great. The passing can be pretty frustrating at times, especially during road games, but I think that it will be good for online play. I doubt people will find too many money plays that can exploit the DB's AI. You really have to read the D and throw your passes on time. My completion rating is gradually climbing vs. the computer on AA. Occasionally you'll throw a ball in to traffic and come down with it, shocked that your man held onto the ball for a change...but just as often you'll throw a pass to what looks to be a wide open reciever, only to have another defender break out of his zone or off of his defender to step up and pick it. Pretty challenging. So far I'm really enjoying the new game, and am looking forward to several seasons in my dynasty and to some good battles online (although I've yet to try it on Live).

PS. I found that it was pretty easy to shut the computer down with zones on AA, so I bumped up the sliders in CPU offense 3 notches on each row...so far only played one game that way but it was a 27-24 nailbiter UGA vs. SC. One more thing, does the sensitivity for lead passing seem really sensitive this year to everyone else? I'm throwing a lot of balls out of bounds trying to lead guys in the deep routes.

Yeah the pass lead sensitivity is very sensitive. I used it quite a bit in NCAA 2004, I primarily only use it on deep outs and corner routes so far in this version of the game.

Well i will sure as hell say this, its tougher than last year. I am having trouble with the passing game but was running all over the guys so i messed with the sliders abit. now im the opposite. I can pass alright, not touchen those sliders, but running is a problem. I think i will just keep playing and try to get the hang of it, i know it will come.

This game isnt last years game, thats for sure.

Mcmadden, that's why you reserve the game man lol. overall this game is extremly challenging. from what i've heard, everyone is having problems with their passing games. none of the offensive pb's i've tried are the same as last years. it's definitaly harder to throw the ball when you are away. i am loving the homefield advantage though.

on a side note, it's funny though that there isn't any homefield advantage for games played in neutral sites. like the worlds largest outdoor cocktail party b/t UF and UGA.

Lol, hey man that’s if they get the game in my area in Seattle. You guys out on the east coast have like a 12+ hour lead on us. Every EB, Gamstop, GameCrazy, Target, Toys R Us, and Best Buy told me Tuesday morning, in other words, we are driving up to the airport around 5-6pm local to pick it up then we are too tired or just plain lazy to put it on the floor tonight so you'll have to wait tomorrow morning (Tuesday) McMadden waits for no one, LOL. So the nearest gamecrazy to SeaTac airport in my area had the game 30 minutes prior to closing, they had just got it! I lucked out. LOL, but the drive was worth it though.

just curious, what did you put your passing sliders at to make it easier?

I like it, especially the atmoshere created with the fans. I feel as if I'm there and get pumped up over a win. The game seems to move along slower and that is the only downside as of right now. I hate stopping to see a fan every two seconds. It would be better if they cut to a fan just during the big moments.

For every Pro I find a Con.

This game is getting traded in to Gamestop without a doubt!
