So last season I had the top defense in the country with OSU. I gave up about 56 yards rushing, 215 yards passing, and 13 PPG which actually isn't too far below their 2003 average (62/235/17). I ended up finishing 10-2 (I lost to NC State and, uh, Michigan 16-13 and 25-20, respectively) and beat Florida State in the Rose Bowl.
In the offseason, I only lost two starters on defense (DE/CB) and now my defense is an A+ rating. My top five linebackers are God-like.
A.J. Hawk: 99
Anthony Schlegel: 95
Bobby Carpenter: 93
Mike D'Andrea: 92
Marcus Freeman (true Soph.): 91
Add to that my 91 DT (Pitcock), my 89 and 86 DE's (Arden and Richardson), a 91 safety (Salley), and an 89 CB (Underwood) and you have a pretty damned good defense.
How good?
Here are my first three games (using the same sliders I used in the first season of my dynasty):
vs. Miami, OH
49-0
(Miami: 136 yards total offense)
vs. Texas
33-0
(Texas: 159 yards total offense... RB #3 was injured so I keyed on Young all game.)
vs. S.D. State
51-0
(S.D. State: 108 yards total offense... Lynell Hamilton was injured so they had nothing.)
I can't believe how damned good they are. My defensive sliders are almost completely turned down to zero. Here they are (from zero):
awareness: 2
knockdowns: 1
interceptions: 8
break block: 2
tackle: 5
Along with that, none of the CPU's offensive sliders are below 16.
This is the greatest defense EVER.
