    4-3 zone blitz

Just wondering whats a good setup for a 4-3 zone blitz whether is 4-3 normal/over/under thats decent for the run and pass against a 2rb 1Te 2wr set and how do you guys set it up and who should I control when I set it up.I would like to control Bob Sanders at Strong Saftey but his awareness is so good I should let him do his own thing.Man blitz is not what it do in 09.I use the Colts and I'm on PS2.

Try 43 Normal "ss snake 3" or something like that.....Anyhoot, it is in many defensive playbooks---if not in the 43 Normal thn look also in the 43 Under plays too---work effectively out of 43 Under as well--just a tad bit better in my opinion out of 43 normal.
Anyways, the setup is EXTREMELY easy...
AS SOON AS YOU are on the FIELD, hit
Triangle Left (For "show blitz or the 8 in the box effect)
then BEFORE the DLINE gets to the line of scrimmage, CRASH the DLINE to the RIGHT ( L1 + R3 Right).
MOST VITALLY IMPORTANT part of this setup is to know its greatest WEAKNESS, that is any rollout to the LEFT of TV screen, so make your RDE (on left of screen on the DLINE) do a BLACKBLITZ (QB contian blitz) or do a short zone such as the Yellow or Blue Flats zones (if you zoe , you will NEED to watch carefully for runs to left and rollouts to left).

I'd guess that heat gets onto QB generally with 1.5-2 secs and playactions that rollout to the right are absolutely tattooed....

If you only have this play in the 43 Under setup---do same except SHIFT Dline to right as well........Basically same strenghts and weakness as the 43 Normal play but less effective just SLIGHTLY...

I run that setup for SS snake 3 as well. My question is you do let your SS show blitz and move over to the a gap or do you freeze him over the b gap?

I allow him to go whereever he goes....I allow it to show or not show based on what computer elects presnap...
JUST....At snap, if I see him NOT getting thru clear--that DEFINETELY means ANOTHER defender HAS an open lane to QB, so I IMMEDIATELY hit "o" to switch to the closest defender to ball and many times I will get an INSTANT SACK or be ALL OVER a back trying to escape the heat on backside. Be careful though, when u switch defenders --LET GO of the sticks (and D-pad for that matter) as you hit "o" that way you do NOT alter your new defender's path to ball..That is,
at snap, look at safety. If he clears through, you are straight and just watch your own lanes from there---rest will take care of itself.
    but................
if at hike, you notice that your safety delays or has some issue getting through, IMMEDIATELY
LET GO of sticks (or d-pad) and simultaneously hit "o'
to switch to defender NEAREST to ball ( no matter if qb has or hb,etc.)
After switch, once I notice whom I was switched to, I hit speed burst and continue path trek towards ball...Like I said, it IS very effective--like any play it does have its weaknesses and OFCOURSE the offense CAN indeed adjust by OLINE SLIDE PROTECTION or whatever like dip**** above mentioned (like NO ****, right? This is only a suggestion of a play type to use, not a ONE DEFENSE for EVERY play strategy) ..
Anyhoot---- I am no magician in Madden and I can not nor do i shutdown everything, never claim to do that and I promise you that it is very likely I will never be so good ..BUT, in general I hold most opponents to under 10-14 points per game and under 200 total yards allowed a game..SOME games I face a stiffer opponent whom scores greater tally and I yield more yardage, but I have NEVER given up 400 yards in ANY version of Madden to anyone, offline nor online..Not to say it can not be done against me, but just has not happened yet..Maybe my game style prevents it---who knows what reason, but it is what it is...If I were to fairly evaluate myself, I would feel confident in stating that defensively I am above average and could hold 80% opponents to 2 or less TDs a game...Generally, if opponent scores at or under 20 points, you should be able to win a great pecentage of the time, if not your offense may be a greater issue that is your defense...
My current online PS2 username is
RNew Freak01 every game Ive played on this name has been through the PLAY NOW menu--so mostly I have played level 1-3 players and a few levl 10 ballers---most of my competition has recs about .500 winning pecentage with few exceptions (one guy was like 36-8 when I beat him, another was 22-1 when I got him #2) (to of my opponents have been winless as well---actually they played me TOUGHER,lol!!!)...
Currently, my online rec is 10-1 ranked #3276 with average score for of 38 and average score AGAINST of 14. I gain approximately 300 yards a game offensively and give up on average of 191 yards so far..
Like I said, i am a run-of-the-mill baller, nothing special but I generally hold well to my competition (but have been and expect to be DESTROYED by opponents here n there).
Ok--sorry so long.....Hope my tip helps dawg---no guarrentees, it is just what works for me!!!

i play on wii. Thanks for the advice. It seems to work better for A gap pressure. I play wii though, im around rank 19 lvl 18 theres not as many players but you can get a feel by my level my strength.

EDIT: out for 4-3 normal try storm blitz. same idea and set up (crash right hook RE) it just adds man coverage on the WR and adds your ROLB on the blitz. i like it alot.
