They've also got some milk distributor around here that is ran by the Amish that puts REAL chocolate into their whole milk. The stuff is sold quicker than crack up here. (or I guess "down" here relative to where you guys live...lol)

Water...
When I was down in Florida, there was a brewery/bar in Merritt Island that had some really good food and a tremendous selection of microbrews.
My favorite was called Gator Ale. That was the best beer I've ever tasted.
If nothing else, a bump here reminds people of kevin's embarrassing drunk post.
But ... it's January now. That means beer is in a different season. So, what are people drinking right now?
To BK1998 -- you should check out "Two Brothers Brewing Co." if you have a chance. They are out of Warrensville, IL. Really interesting stuff. My buddy who is into all-grain brewing picked up their "Domaine Dupage" amber a week ago. I had one. Excellent. It's pretty sweet for my tastes, but very good.
So I went out and picked up their "Ebel's Weiss Beer" and it's fantastic. A bold Hefeweizen by all accounts -- that or maybe I haven't drank enough Hefeweizen. Of all the fruits you pick up on the palette I found BANANA. That's right -- banana. Anyway, I've tried two of their beers so far and have been dually impressed.
It's playoff season men. We drink beer. So goldarnit ... tell us what you're drinkin these days!

Two Brothers... I don't think I can get my hands on that here on the east coast. I'll keep an eye out for sure, and will snoop around for some when I'm in Indianapolis in a few weeks.
I've found that those Hefe's that have hints of clove and banana are generally some of my favorites. Though I don't pick it up a lot in my favorite American hefe (Pyramid) I do notice it quite a bit in my favorite German hefe (Franziskaner).
To be honest, I haven't got many recommendations for you right now, as I've been drinking almost exclusivley out of my own stash.I still have a few 6ers of our Amber Wheat that we brewed back in October, and a couple cases of our "Holiday Spiced Porter" that we brewed this winter.
The Amber Wheat turned out nice, but would have been better suited as a summer beer, as it came out crisp and light on the pallet. It clocked in around 4.5%, so it's a good session beer... nice for the warm summer months.
The Spiced Porter started as a Honey Porter... and we threw in Allspice and extra cinnamon during the last 10 minutes of the boil. It turned out great. It's definately a "winter warmer" as it came in around 8.5%. I like it a lot.
Next week we're bottling a batch of Imperial IPA that's been fermenting for about 7 weeks now. Not sure where it's going to end up, but the wort tasted spectacular. Pre-ferment gravity suggests that this one could come out around 11%, if the beer Gods deem it to be so. Let's hope.
Christmas was good to me this year. My beer drinking friends and I have a tradition of giving brew to each other for the holiday season. This year I recieved:
Allagash's Interlude... very very interesting. Ale aged in red wine barrels... The beer really picks up notes of Red Wine. An interesting flavor, and highly recommended for the individual that likes beer and wine.
Dogfishhead's Midas Touch. Dunno if you've had DFH, but they make great brews. Their Midas Touch is top notch. Drink it out of a snifter and you'll be in heaven.
Sam Adam's Chocolate Bock... Normally a great beer, and one of my favorites. But this year's was more Ale like and didn't really work as well. Still good, but not great. Save your money and splurge on something else thise year, but give next year's version a try.
