Right now, I am going with the Sam Adams Imperial Series Double Bock. They really did a great job with this one. REAL heavy taste of berries and a strong boozy finish. On my third right now (Alc. 9.7%) and I'm on Cloud 9.

Before I went into my Adams cache, I tried a Goose Island Matilda. Cost me about $8 for the 24oz. and boy...WHAT A PIECE OF *&$! To me, it tasted like a Bud Light with a slightly strong finish. I tried really hard to find something special with this one, but it just wasn't doing it for me.

    ALSO.................

Had 3 bottles of Westervleen (sp?) 14 last week and my dear god was that good. Something like 11-12% alc. content and I could barely taste it because it was so good. Had some fruit accents in it and it went down smooth. Definitely deserving of one of the best beers out there.

Bout two weeks ago, I had a bunch of beers from a friend of mine and I will conclude that....

    1. Dragon's Milk from New (Something) is still my favorite brew.

    2. Founders is by far the best micro brewery in the land

    3. Moose Drool is my new session beer. Absolutely delicious.
Was pretty drunk when I made this. It was New Holland (thx Bones) and Dragon's Milk is by far my favorite...BUT I didn't have Westervleen 14. I had Trappistes Rochefort 10, which was still amazing.

Lesson learned on that night was don't drink 6, ~10.0% alc. brews in less than an hour. The vomiting and hang over ruined my entire Saturday.

Where did you get three bottles of Westy? That beer is damn near impossible to get in the US.

    That makes more sense.

I love all Trappist beers, except for Orval.

Also, I'm drinking homebrew tonight. Brutal Bitter clone.

2 of my very favorite beers. I've never bought a case of Draak because I'd drink it too fast that I would feel I wasted $100.

Oberon for the summer.. all day.

Yeah Gibbs. Draak is quality. Nice to force expensive cases on a beer club where you only have to pay steep prices for a few bottles of the good stuff. ($5 per Draak)

Well, I was able to taste both 3floyds Dreadnaught IPA as well as their Behemouth BarleyWine. Both were really good beers.

I finished up with a 1 year old DFH 120....very very strong. More like a whiskey taste to me. It was still good. I'd prefer the 90 min

ha, I bought a case of Gulden Draak and Atomium.

Atomium reminds me a much better quality honey brown. A little sweet, a little roast very smooth, just the right amount of carbonation
