    Question differences?

Thanks I'll give HI a shot.

What is the difference between the run and shoot and the run and gun? Then their is Spurrier's Offense the Fun and Gun. What is the difference there?

    Thanks,
    Gus

Some of the other guys like Mad Bomber could probably answer this better then me, but from what I can tell EA's Run N' Gun PB has always been kind of a generic spread PB containing some Run and Shoot, some Power Spread and some Air Raid. The Rn'G for 08 PS2 looks more like a power spread PB then anything else to me. In real life, the Run and Shoot is often incorrectly refered to as the Run N' Gun. As far as I know there isn't a real Run N' Gun offense in football. Its just kind of a generic term. As for Spurrier's Fun and Gun, I'm not to familer with it.

The run and gun term is more than likely something that EA coined to identify a wide open offensive system. If you look at that playbook now on PS2, it's basically a shotgun spread offense along the lines of a Oregon, Florida, or Missouri type offense.

I love to see as thread on my favorite offense of all time. All the concepts here are still applicable to NCAA 08 and 09, as well as Madden.
