Oh i almost forgot I have one question if any one can help, will I be able to destroy someone who is trying to defend the RNS with the 3-4??? I have another friend i play who is good and he runs almost all game the 3-4 and loves to blitz how can i make him pay???

    Once again thanks BOYZ

I find mixing the run & pass about 50-50 seems to work against the 3-4.

Once you get those 4 Lb's spread out and looking for the pass, you should
be able to wear them out with dive runs up the middle.
If you're not using 4 wr's....why bother playing offense. If the "D" doesn't fear your "O" then you've already moved yourself closer to losing.

    Sweeeeeet!!!!!!!!!

Its definately an eye opening experience at how successful it can be especially if you've never used the RNS before. Glad to hear you wore him out

Let's hope so.. but sometimes Run and Shoot guys seem to do 180's
IE Mike Shanahan, Walt Harris and Packer OC Tom Rossely were all Run and Shoot guys at one time...

It works even better in MD2005.

I kinda remember Rossely using the 'shoot', however, I didn't know Shanahan
    and Harris used it

Rossley used it at SMU in the early 90's and Harris used a version of it at Pacific at the same time.

I am not aware of Shanahan using it though.

    Shanahan........

Shanahan was Northern Arizona’s backfield coach in 1977 at the age of 24, and the Lumberjacks averaged a school-record 391.1 yards that season. A year later, Shanahan returned to Eastern Illinois as offensive coordinator and helped guide his alma mater to the Division II title. The year before Shanahan’s arrival the team was 1-10. In 1979 he served as offensive coordinator at Minnesota, where he implemented the run-and-shoot offense, with the result being that the Gophers set 40 school offensive records.

So if that's the case....then is it really fair to say he's not running a real "wco" in Denver.

I mean....it seemed that both Elway and Plummer did a lotta movement/rollout type passing.

Most of what he does in Denver is based off the stretch play. They love boot action off the stretch and run quite a few different route combos. Quite a bit of their drop back passing game is centered around the shallow cross.

So it's save to say Denver still uses various components of the 'shoot'.
From what I've seen of their "O".....Plummer seems to always be in a partial
roll-out ( which is one the standard keys for the 'shoot').

I don't know if you've noticed but the Pats (under former OC Weis) sometimes
line up in a 4 wr deep double slot 'shoot' formation.

When Shanahan first got to Denver (1995), he ran a straight west coast offense, just like he did in San Fran. Denver and SF played in a preseason game that year and both offenses ran the same plays. It was like an intrasquad game. He later modified it and installed the shotgun and more stretch plays for Terrell Davis.
