For those in SIM leagues how do you

play effective defense without moving players pre-snap? I've played in 3 leagues where you can only move the player you're controlling. Just wanted to know your strategies for it.

Most leagues that allow manual pre-snap movement of ONE PLAYER, will allow unlimited global movement. So adjust your coverage, LB, and D-line in conjunction with your manually moved player.

    For instance:

If you want to present an 8 man front from a standard 4-3 lineup, simple shift your linebackers and fill with your manually moved player. The quicker you do this, the more fluid and planned it looks.

Personally, I move guys all around, but never one at a time. I don't like to give the offense a good look at what I'm doing, so I always shift and fill. Shift and fill.

Check your league rules first to see if it's allowed though...

thats gotta be the dumbest "sim" rule Ive ever heard. you need to move players to keep them from tipping their coverage?

it is meant to stop nano's but i have yet to find a blitz (unlike the one last year) where you can't run plays under center with all the movement. i agree that the leagues that do this are just too strict. If that is the case then the offense shouldnt be allowed to hot route, audible or put guys in motion. That sounds just as ridiculous to me since all of this is part of the real game (players on D are constantly moving or being told to move by those taking the lead in the defense) I don't set up so called nano's but i like to make adjustments (for example if he keeps hitting the running back in the flats in cover 3 i will move the LB on the side he is set on or that i guess he might be going to closer to the o/s so he can't exploit the RB's speed to the flats, but i don't need to be the LB and waste my skill and instinct on covering that).

It is for reasons...if you move guys all around you can create specific nanos as dude above me points out...but I'm in leagues and it's NEVER an issue...but at the same time..they are SIM leagues and the guys are very good at not cheesing you with that garbage...nothing gets abused!...that's the key...if your not abusing it..and mostly doing it for coverage reasons..it's fine...

Ie, I move my CB's in to stop slants and such...or LB's a step or 2 out...no problem.

Pick the right play, or use the playmaker ability, and if those dont work, use a guy that will help you counter what your opponent is doing.

I love to play Safties or Lbs at worse case scenerio. I never use a DELineman cause its way to easy to use especially with a top rated guy, and in my opinion cheese.

I have to admit it's quite annoying when 3 of those are in your face. Kinda hard to aim when your screen is full of blinking red dots. And in a dark map like that, you're a pretty easy target for snipers when your head is covered with those
