Drunkenstarfish's assessment of the Lions situation.

While sitting on the beach sippin' shastas and reading the articles of the team happenings he is wondering how well NB's wheelchair will run through the artificial turf in Detroit.
After his first hard day of work on scene

He wonders if the gray ponytail will get caught in the spokes of the wheel chair also.
Someone needs to take AD under their wing an help him to grow up. AD DSF's cell has 4 bars at the beach.

Where's our new head coach on all of this? His leadership abilities are being tested, did he go into hiding?

Look Who Returns From the Depths

    Dr. Morbid Speaks

We caught up with The Doctor for a quick interview. He had a few words for the coach and AD. I wonder how far this issue will go. Thanks to AD it looks like the team may have more pressing issues to deal with besides repeating as Champs.

Tina Bangbang: Whats up Doc? Ha! Ha! I couldnt wait to say that.

Dr. Morbid:Not funny but I'll let ya make it. Maybe you can get some stiches later.

Tina Bangbang:Oh um well I dont know what to say. Anyway, what do you think about the comments made by your teammate........AD.

Dr. Morbid:WHO?! Before you answer let me say something. I already told these media feeding clowns to STFU. Anyone speaking to the media about teammates is a busta period. Now who are you talking about.

Tina Bangbang: You know AD the WR on your team.

Dr. Morbid: I dont like to spit box or scrap type so I'll just say this. Face to Face he hasnt said nothing. All that yappin and no action is bogus. If I had as many balls thrown my way I'd catch a few. He's acting like a broad anyway. I think he likes Balls way to much. You tell coach to switch our Positions for half the season and lets see whats up. Man Im out this peace. Like Eazy-E said "No More Questions".

Wow that was a nice interview.

NFL Live Discusses the VGLions Chances this season

    Trey Wingo
    - OK guys our Coors Light 6 pack of questions focuses on the VGLions. Marcellus you take the 1st 3. James you take the next 3.

    1. What impact will the retirement of All Pro FB Steve Mullins have on the team?
    2. What role will the recent draft picks Bearfanmike Boucher and Steve Mullins JR. have on the team?
    3. How does the hiring of Josh McDaniels as HC improve the offense?
    4. What do you make of the comments made by Pro Bowl WR Alphonse Disciple?
    5. How many INT's will the defense have this season?
    6. What do you think of the war of words between All Pro SS Nevada Ballin and the recently retired Mullins?

    1. Mullins influence in the locker big impact on the team. A tough old school veteran that provided leadership and had the best post touchdown dunks in history.

    2. The young Mullins has big shoes to fill. He has to replace a legend and now that his dad is in Hollywood he has to compete with that legacy as well. Boucher just has to hand out water and knock the snot out of running backs and he'll do fine.

    3. The pass happy VGLions have to love the addition of McDaniels. Look for a record setting season from league MVP Mister Harris.

    4. Just like another WR that goes by 2 intitials T.O., A.D. seems to be a lightning rod for controversy. If he's not talking about getting catches or the VGLions DB's, he's talking about eating "milk and cookies" and biting booties. Let's hope he gets his act together on gamedays.

    5. I predeict big things from the VGLions defensive unit. I think they have the potential to lead the NFL in INT's. I'll say the secondary can snag 15 INT's as a unit.

    6. The 2 old timers are having some good natured fun. I actually find it funny that the team taped the younger Mullins to his bed.

Dejay Blader - Return From the Dead Conference Transcript

Question: Dejay, finally back from the dead it seems! How was the holiday?

Dejay Blader: Good thanks mate. Booked my ticket soon after the Superbowl and was off home across the pond to London to have a nice sit down and enjoy the break. See the short London summer haha. Nevertheless, I went around to some schools, including my old ones and tried to get them more enthused into the game using my own example of just trying to play my way to the top. Hopefully it means we get a European franchise going again and really bringing up NFL in Europe.

Q: How did it feel to win the SB in your first season, your rookie season –

DB: Well what do you expect me to say? Rubbish? Hahaha. It was… it was… intense. Amazing. Euphoria like nothing I’ve ever had before. If anyone wants to know – it’s like a mix of intense joy where you can’t stop laughing – and crying for some reason – and it’s like you shiver all over just thinking – knowing – you’re the best at what you do. It’s crazy. It’s so tiring as well – all that work just culminating in the end celebration, it’s so emotional. To be honest I can’t compare my first season with any other season, so when I win the next one I’ll truly be able to compare haha…

Q: Winning the Superbowl is something the majority of players don’t do. In your first season you did this – what now? What are you working for in training camp and practice?

DB: Look – I’m very privileged to play in the NFL – and even more privileged to win the Superbowl in my first season. But ultimately my aim is to make this team the Greatest Team of All Time. Simple as. Now – how does one go about that? You win multiple Superbowls. You aim for Perfection – and reach it. It is as simple as that. Now, we didn’t have a perfect season last season. The season before that we did the Imperfect Season. We have YET to prove ourselves to anyone. Win it once – it can be a fluke. Twice and it shows you’re good. Three times – people stop and fear you. 4 or More? You’re pushing greatness at the door. That’s the goal.

Q: What about personal accolades? You weren’t selected for the ProBowl last season nor did you win any Player of the Weeks. What about these?

DB: I’ll say it a million times. Personal accolades mean nothing unless you have a Superbowl ring at the end of the season. I’ll trade all the personal things for a team victory – a Superbowl. You don’t remember the MVPs or Defensive MVPs or player specific MVPs 30years down the line. But you remember the winners – the dynasty winners – 50 years down the line. And if you remember the dynasty – remember the Ring Winners – you remember the players that got them there. That’s a much greater achievement than Player of the Week.

Q: What was the first thing you did after the Superbowl?
DB: Pray to God and say thank you.

Q: Away from the Superbowl, what do you think of your partner in crime, Boucher?

DB: He’s great guy – he works hard, listens and as yall have been seeing, he’s been performing very well these past two weeks. I’m happy I’m playing alongside him.

Q: Do you feel any resentment towards him because there’s more chat about him than you, or do you feel like a sort of big brother considering you’ve been in this system a year longer?

DB: Erm certainly no resentment. Anytime we joke about him getting more press time than me I just show him the Ring and I ask him, ‘Do you have one of these?’ Hahaha he generally shuts up afterwards. As for the big brother thing – yes and no. Yes because I’m a year older and more experienced in this system – so we both are brought up in the same system, which means any troubles he has in learning it I can recall from my own experience from last year. So yes, at times I feel I’ve gotta help him just get the ins and outs and can give him some key tips which helped my game. But the lad needs me ‘cos I’m the only non-rookie who’s gonna help him against the nasty vets and their challenges! In all honesty though, a year is just a year so most of the time he should still take his lessons from the vets – they know much much more than I do – and I’m still learning. It’s a case of us both being students – we both listen to the teacher its just I’ll give him the answers and help him along his way at certain points which I’ve already done.

    Q: 2 Games in and you’re already 2-0. Thoughts?

DB: We’re playing interestingly so far. Great game against the Bengals, was very proud of the D in that game – but to win in Overtime is something I’ve always hated [Rams game]. It’s something we’ve got to prevent from happening – cos’ those are the swing games. We’ve got to work harder, much harder because It’s going to get much MUCH tougher once injuries and fatigue sets in.

Q: What do you think of the Defence in general this year? What are the defensive goals?

DB: Get more interceptions? HAHAHAHAHA. Nah in all honesty – our goals are simple. Try to be perfect in every way. 3 and outs every drive for the opponent. No points. SHUT OUT every game. We want to be at home in the dome with our fans only watching the Offence. We want to be out of the Motor City at enemy grounds with their fans leaving at half time because we’re shutting them out. We want them to watch our offence all game. That’s our goal. Perfection. Zero points conceded. Simple enough?

Q: What do you think of the comments made by WR Disciple concerning INTs and the tension in the Locker Room between O and D?

DB: It’s all bs man. All of it. Disciple says that ish because he wants to Win mad. We’re all competitive guys and Disciple is no different. To fire us up he’ll insult us because he knows we can do better. We just have to respond to O talk with our Defensive play. It’s all good. It’s tough love. He wants us to do better – so we’ll work harder and be better. See that’s the thing – here’s a message to all teams – we will beat each other up inside camp. In practice, we will knock each other out cold to win on the practice field. We are vicious against each other trying to get that rock on the parking lot behind the stadium after practice. We may seem like we have beef on the inside – but that’s far from the truth. Because come Sunday, come game day – BE SCARED. Once we step on that field, it’s not the O, the D and the ST. It’s the VGLions. And as a team – we will DESTROY YOU. I’m out.

Dejay Blader Week 11 Post-Match Conference Transcript

Q: Another win for these VGLions and you continue your perfect streak, how does that make you feel?

DB: Erm I'm sure you can all imagine. We're very happy, I'm very happy we're playing well but we always have to be aware of two demons: Complacency and Prematurity. We shouldn't get too happy with ourselves because ultimately we've not won the Superbowl yet. And we have to be careful to be peaking too early and losing our edge now.

Q: Do you think this team can have a Perfect Season?

DB: We're not really concentrating on that to be honest, we're just looking at each game as it comes. We want to win each game, culminating with the Superbowl - that's our goal. If we win the Superbowl perfect or with a slight blemish it doesn't matter, cos we've won it. We just want to win the Superbowl. And to win that, you've got to win your regular season games, and make it to the playoffs. We're just taking it one step at a time.

Q: What did you think of the team's performance today?

DB: I think we've done well to win a tough game, but in each of us there is an element of sadness that we haven't played our best. That's always something to reflect upon and work on. Defensively we need to shape up and help the offence, offensively the lads need to just get some more points on the board to help us. We just need to help each other out by playing well.

Q: Your own perfomances seem to be getting better as the weeks go by, what do you think of that?

DB: Without trying to sound repetitive, I'm happy that my performances are better as shown by the numbers. I'm pleased to be playing and getting those opportunities to improve. But as ever, the main focus is the team. Getting however many tackles today means nothing without a W behind us.

Q: Do you have anything to say on behalf of the team?

DB: Erm, nothing much except the entire locker room is buzzing right now and a lot of that goes to the Coach and his effort in preparation and constantly showing us those gametapes on Youtube and the rest of it... The guys are working hard on the field to reflect the effort of the Coach... so overall it's a good time to be a VGLion.
