I'll speak generally...NB's league has the most rules and is prolly the most successfull sim league.

I'm not sure on all his rules as I'm not in that league (yet).

The leagues i've been in are much less rule based an much more play like a b!tch then it gets posted based...We all are sim players...so if you resort to gimmicks when you start getting behind everybody will know and you'll look like a fool and lose credibility amongst the other guys...

Basically, most sim leagues are against no huddling, more than a few FB dives/WR screens per games, obviously any glitch, rolling out with the WR, towards the LOS and baiting the safety and then throwing over safeties, anything that is done knowing that it is exploiting the AI of the game basically.

Most SIM leagues are full of guys who run a very balanced O....they don't put CB's in at WR, and they just play the game like you see on Sunday...some guys still run a spread O all game...or base their O outta FH and such...but don't break any of the major rules.

rjmcc01 as you may know I am running a Sim league, On here with some success. I have a core group of guys about 10 or so, that all play fairly gimmick free. Now we do have goys who have complained about different things. So I ask if you ban stuff does it help or hurt the league?
IE: The commit to the pass and to the run.
The QB sneak out of goal line.
Picking a play and running said play on Offense or Defense.
What are your take on these, good or bad?

Thanks playa for that. Didn't think about doing that in my league.

I'm literally the most OCD sim player I know...me, djK, Huntin...guys like us...and most people in our league...and NONE of us would call call run or pass committing non sim...and make a rule about it..that's the most retarded thing i've ever heard lol...

We prefer the QB sneak not be used out side of 3rd/4th and short, inside the goal line only, with that said we don't like ANY GL O run outside of the goalline, Not because you don't see it in the NFL...but because in Madden you cannot audible into a D that can stop it...

If you pick a play, you can audible, of course...we prefer you don't audible 5 or 10 times before snapping the ball, that is BS...make your read, audible, maybe audible back...then snap the ball...call as many hot routes as you see fit as well...Audibling and adjusting to the opposition's play call is what football is all about.

If you want a rule, then create a poll, if enough people vote in it's favor, make it a rule.

This will allow us to have a better all aroud Sim ballers here at VG Sports if we all use the same rules. Let me know how you like or dislike this?

The cleanest gaming experience is when both players create their own gameplans and battle it out.

What makes the experience unclean is all the bull$#!t whining.

Gav, if you could beat people without the RC you'd love sim too

I don't use the RC because I'm not very good at it.

I think defending it is fun though. If someone can stand on their head and make plays repeatedly, more power to them. I'm betting that I can make it that they can't.

My strengths are defense and running.
