    need tips and help

ive goten very good at striking and submitting and getting out of submissions.. but my ground game is horrid.. the minute i get on the ground i end up in a full mount, and then my opponent has their way with me... only about 3-4 of my probally 20 lost fights have been something other than a full mount knockout ... any tips for staying away from or how to get out of the full mount?

Hold the R stick to the right when your opponent is trying to pass. Dont hold it the whole time though, As soon as the animation is about to end let go and then hold again. Also you can try doing a transition reversal by flicking the Right stick at the same time your opponent tries to transition. Most people are predictable with there transitions so its actually pretty easy to do this

I think you meant when they try to pass because holding right on the R stick blocks transitions.

Transition counters are a nice weapon on the ground. Just know you can't block and counter because once you let go of a block, there is a delay on when you can counter. As long as you don't give up passes while trying to counter, pulling it off at key moments can win you matches.

If you're better standing, keep it standing. Use the sprawl by holding back on the R-stick just before he gets to you. It beats both the tackle and clinch. From there, mix your attack levels and don't overextend yourself attacking. This game can be won standing.

well thats what i do... but its hard to stay off the ground completely for 3-5 rounds... ive only lost about 2 fights now that have stayed off the ground... but ive completely dominated people and late in the 3rd round they get me on the ground and its over...

I can sprawl out of most takedowns easily but when they counter my strikes into a takedown i'm done. Like with GAV I was doing good standing hitting him with some good shots but he would just wait and counter. Like I couldn't strike with him, once I got some good shots in he would counter into a takedown.

GAV is an excellent player because he would rush me with kicks and as soon as I landed 1 shot to try and stop the flurry of strikes back to the ground I went.

Going to try to practice tonight though, hopefully GAV can teach me a few things.

Don't get hit in body shots. Constantly punched/kicked there sucks. Also big wrestling slams kill your stam. Lastly always throwing huge head kicks/superman punches/shooting and getting sprawled on/missing your guard pass/sweep will kill your stam

A good way to get in without using up alot of stamina is to use the step jab. Then, you can work the body and mix things up - or clinch and press the action.

I love transition reversals that the best way to go. Only problem with that is if there is lag then it won't work consistenly. If that is the case then just transition block. But remember you can only transition block 5 times before they can get out. That's both offense and defense.
