    Philly noob question

I play online with a couple of friends and I use a lot of I form pro for running. However it seems that whether I am running or passing the defense is in the backfield really quick. I am not that good to recognize a blitz every time. When I run I mainly use halfback blast or Stretch but I get no where. By the time I hit the hole there are like 3 guys on me. When I pass I use a lot of shotgun just to give me time but by the time I get ready to throw I get sacked. should I keep my Running back in there for protection? The thing is there seems to be someone wide open but I don't have enough time to pass it. Any help?

Well even though no one answered me I tried something a little different tonight. I only used plays that had a 2 RB set and kept them both in to block. That usually gave me more than enough time to pass. I only ran to keep him honest. I ended up winning 49-14. That is the most I have ever scored on my friend. He was using the Colts. I didn't get enough pressure on him tat I liked but I got enough to cause a couple turnovers. I did have a little trouble stopping the run towards the end but by that time it was too late.

I noticed when McNabb sets his feet he is very accurate downfield. But if feels any pressure at all then most of the passes are bad.

Any other advice to improve on?

From my experience I've found that throwing a lot of screens helps establish a good flow once you can do that, usually i can run the ball and do play action better.
