    Question Big on Big Blocking

    Hi All,

I'm new to Madden football. The Virtual Playbook Guide has been a fantastic resource. I expect to be doing a good amount of running in my Online League and have been reading the part of the the Guide about Run Blocking Schemes.

    1. As I practice finding holes using this method of reading the D, should I be sliding my line depending on where I'm running the ball?

    2. Is there a way to tell from the playbook what run-block scheme is being used?

    3. On the Practice Field, is it possible to get the Defense to automatically switch up their defensive plays every time I re-run the play?

    Thanks

    Here we go.....

1.Yes when running up the middle I like to have slide protect on agressive unless I know the blitz is coming. When running to the outside slide protect to the opposite side your running. I.E when running the right, slide protect to the left. This basically pushes half the defense away from the ball.

    2. All PB's running scheme is basically the same. They all have multiple formations with run's up the middle and to the outside. What I suggest doing is find a formation that has outside runs and inside run's, aswell as playactions to keep the D on their heels.

    3. Yes select the random play button on the playcalling screen in practice mode.

Gotcha! Thanks. I had been slide protecting in the direction of the play and didn't notice it helped much. Thanks for setting me straight.

What about pinching? If you know the blitz it coming?

I'm trying to run my team's playbook (Jets) and after a few hours this evening found one formation with just that mix. And then I started trying different packages... makes a difference.
