3-4 Stack

The 3-4 Stack I hear so much about yet see no Break Downs (besides cover 3 and the SnakeBlitz3 and HogBuck3). Im not asking people for Nanos but am asking why and were the pressure comes from to make the Stack so much better than the others in the 3-4.

When I use the stack the pressure comes from the outside. Granted I got the hog buck, but that's a b gap pressure. Most of the dirty work comes from the outside.


Got speedy DE's? Try cover 3. Shift the line to your left, shift the LB's to your right, blitz the ROLB (he's all the way on your left). Put the ROLB over the OLT. Contain route the LOLB. Lurk with the LILB. The setup is the same with Cover 2 and Cover 4 buzz. Becaus of this, Cover 4 buzz is one of my audibles. Cover 3 and Cover 2 are formation audibles. I can use this set against no huddlers. Just keep switching up the plays to swtich up the coverages.

I use it for quick outside pressure that is extremely easy to setup, and can be completed before the offense can finish reaching the line of scrimmage. Also the actual blitz can be flipped to attack both the left and right and used with different plays within the same formation.

for example:

select 3-4 cover 2
1. shift the defensive line left.
2. spread all the LBs, then blitz the left outside LB (ROLB)

if you want to attack the right side, just flip the play and perform the shifts in the opposite direction.
