are you a first half or second half player?

what i mean by the question is do you play better in the first or pick up in the second half?

for some reason i score maybe 3 to 10 points in the first half online, but in the second half i put up about 35 to 45 points online. I know its from figuring out the other player but its still weird to me that i cant score that much in the first half.

I play my guy from work a lot and I always seem to play horrible in the first half. I guess I try to much stuff in the first half and get down to what works in the second half. Last two games I've won in OT. I gave up 21 points in 20 seconds the first game. I came back from 21-7 in the first quarter to win 34-28.

For some reason I score about 17-24 pts in the 1st half then in the 2nd half only about 3-10 And the other player makes a huge comebacks and beast me maybe I need to mix plays up a bit /=

second half. i always kick off if i win the toss. i want the ball to start the second half.

I definitely score more in the first half. Mainly because it takes most people an entire half to figure out how to stop my offense. Then I start doing more of my mix it up plays which really only work against very specific formations, but can beat people big.

On defense I bring big heat the entire first half and in the second half I try and play a little more coverage and mix in some blitzes in there. So I can't really compare then since its almost always just played differently.

I seem to do better in the second half.

I've been trying to learn more about reading defense(s), coverages, man vs zone, etc... once I pick up on what the other person usually does I try and make adjustments accordingly in the 2nd half.

Same goes for my defense. I try and see if they have a pattern or call similar plays, i.e. more runs to the outside or more to the inside....passing plays, more crossing routes, or curls, slants, etc....

I've been trying to do this versus the CPU, it also seems to have tendecies. I like the chess/strategy side of the game.

If someone comes out and is totally random it's a coin toss then. Usually your better players will have some sort of a scheme though, they just don't run 300 random plays and they all just happen to work.

Of course then there is my wife, she watches football and knows a lot about football, but she never plays Madden. We played the other night and she just picks random plays, then throws as she says, "I just throw to the open guy."

Well she was Denver and I as Miami, I blocked the extra point attempt at the end of the game to beat her 14-13. I have NO FREAKING clue how she does it.

I like to take what the d gives me an all that.But i find myself runnin more in the 2nd half to eat clock unless i gotta catch up.

But to answer the ? im better in the 1st half.

I have a saying when I'm down at the half that goes, "2nd Half is a whole new ball game"

I feel comfortable coming back from as many as 24 points (did it in last 2:30 in a game once) if I can get something going.

I am usually the best right before half time especially when I'm getting the ball back after half time. If I score at the beginning of the 2nd quarter stop them on d then score again at the end of the half.Then when i get the ball back after halftime thats when I put it away with a touch down so I'm up by 21 so i just play prevent d and run the clock out on o.

I do better in the second half. first half i run generic plays to see him defend it. leave my money plays for the end unless I'm down a lot... Play more of a risky scheme in the second... I play that way when I can see the player is better or equal to my skill... If not Ill just throw everything at him from the start.

Im a better first half. I pull out all the plays and dial up the blitzes to leave the offense with something to think about in the second half. When they think that they are starting to make adjustments to the D, I switch it up and go max coverage with the same set ups as the first half blitzes. I will use two formations for the whole first half.

1st and 2nd half. On defense I play better in the 1st half, but on offense I am much better in the 2nd half. And thats the way I like it. Just as my defense lets up, my offense gets going so I can maintain my lead.

I also always receive the ball at kickoff if given the choice, that way I can score first and give my D something to work for.
