Stop out routes

I've only played 5 games, but last game I got abused on out routes of all things...

It's like I couldn't get my guys to play far enough outside

I tried everything, 3-4 moving LBer's far out before snap and to cover flats
I tried changing it to purple's coverage, nothing

I switched to quarters cover 2 with the CB's in the flat, they still got outside and my cb's NEVER jumped the route

I tried man, easily beaten in quaters.
Finally I had to go dime, man press and put my safeties in the flats manually.. this was not a long term answer but I still go the win.

Anyways, what was the problem? I use the pittsburg defense, in any madden game before, if you had cover two on and they threw to the flats off balance or even just with him there it was a pick 1/2 the time. I was getting abused in the flats and tried everything. Any ideas? I was the Vikings, he was the Texans, I understand their backup cb's are bad, but even my starters in the flats (winnfield) was getting abused. Please help

Try Cover 2 again, but back off the defense - then flip your play.

I would try a sink style cover play to see if your corner backs can take away that angle.

I haven' tried this but I think that's what I would do first
