It was a cold and blustery day at Brown's stadium.... I guess that meant that the game would be won or lost on the ground. That is exactly what happened for the Browns. Manning passed for only 8 times as the ground game of the Browns would be the catalyst in their victory today. In the second half there were some concern from the Steelers coach about running the same play over and over again. So the Browns would switch up their formation to prevent that accusation from tarnishing this victory. With this win the Browns improve to 7-6 while the Steelers fall to 6-7. The key stats for the game were as follows:
Browns:
E. Manning 5 comp 8 atts 63yds
J. Norwood 19 Rushes for 85 yards and 1 td and 1 lost fumble
C. Taylor 1 rush for 8 yds and a score
E. Wright 1 int for a def td.
Browns def 1 sack 3 ints 1 FF and FR 1 Def TD.
Steelers
P. Manning 7 Comp 14 Att 72 yds 0 tds and 3 int
A. Bradshaw 17 atts 72 0 td, and 1 lost fumble
B. Edwards 2 Rec 47 yards
Who would've thunk it. Getting bland would be the recipe for turning around the Brown's season.
Good luck D with the rest of your season.
