You could literally make a poll of Flacco or Jamarcus Russel and half the people in this forum would put Russell.

...Seems like he's coming to the realization that he isn't an NFL QB.

    I'd take Dilfer over Flacco

I voted Flacco. He seems to be more "Polished" and carries himself beter at this point. He is not throwing to the guys on the opposite team as much either and shows better poise.

Amazingly, I probably want Flacco so i could build a stout Defense and run the ball all game while dumping off to my RB. This is a winning combination over a horrible Defense with no running game and a QB that lives on tossing INT's all game long.

i dont see why this isnt a good argument. Flacco has played as well or better then cutler - and it isnt like flacco has a ton of weapons. maybe he isnt throwing to special teamers but he doesnt have fitzgerald or moss either.

    Flacco
    63% Completions
    3,613 yards
    7.2 Yards Per Attempt
    21 Touchdowns
    12 Interceptions

    Cutler
    60.5% Completions
    3,666 yards
    6.6 Yards per attempt
    27 Touchdowns
    26 Interceptions

Flacco with a better completion percentage, more yards per attempt and much better TD:int ratio, while cutler had more total yards and total tds. Interestingly, If we look deeper, flaccos second year numbers are near identical to cutlers second year numbers with denver

    Cutler 2nd season
    63.6% Completions
    3,497 yards
    7.4 Yard Per Attempt
    20 Touchdowns
    14 Interceptions

    Flacco's numbers again for comparison
    63% Completions
    3,613 yards
    7.2 Yards Per Attempt
    21 Touchdowns
    12 Interceptions

I think all things considered you can make a case for flacco, with similar or lesser talent to what cutler had his first 2 years in denver, flacco has had similar or better success. Cutler obviously had his best year in his third season, but also with alot of attempts where as his ypa and TD per attempt were not staggering.

Basically, through there first 2 seasons cutler and flacco are nearly identical from a statistical standpoint. Cutlers 3rd year he spiked with better talent and his 4th year this past season he took a big step back but with lesser talent.

I agree with JJ, this shouldn't be that lopsided of a choice, but I would prefer Cutler. Aside from last season, Cutler has had better weapons and more of an opportunity to throw the ball. Even with Cutler's inconsistencies, he's shown in Denver and in some games in Chicago that he could carry an offense and win games by himself. Flacco hasn't shown that, but he's been a good caretaker with room to improve given his physical skills and improved numbers this season.

Flacco for me.. I just don't like cutler and I don't want some one with his attitude to be running my offense!

Wacko is a guy that needs some WR's... he may have the worst group in the league.
