**** PML Rules : Mandatory Testing : Selected Members Must Take ****

DSF had asked everyone to read the rules and bring up questions if you had any at the start of the season. Now that we are in the playoff, the games have higher stake hence again we want to make sure the rules are followed. Everyone who is asked to take this test shouldn't have any issue since you have had 17 weeks playing the games by these same rules - and we don't have that many rules.

In NFL, they have random substance abuse test, consider this testing as such. Here are the instructions:

    1) The test will consist of 7 questions (some true/false, multiple choices, etc) on PML rules.
    2) The test will be posted on the forum, however you must PM (private message) the answers to us (vincent240 or drunkenstarfish). Do not post your answer on the forum! Doing so will result in an automatic failure. Do not share your answer either.
    3) To pass the test, you must get 5 out of 7 questions right.
    4) If you failed or didn't take the test, we will not sit anyone in your playoff games. Your team will be in tact, however for next season you must drop one player in 80's overall.
    5) We will hold a lottery draft (besides the rookie draft) with all teams given a chance to land one of these 80's overall players.
    6) Since I am the commish and the one giving this exam, it's only fair that I drop one 80 overall player regardless. I will do that.

The following members must take this test: DJ, MoneyMo, Donk, Highlander, Comeback, Range, Beast, Huntin, Neg_Maron, Thizz. Possibly, Inde and Awn if either one makes the playoff.

    1) True or False : If you are up by more than 21 points and it's 3th qrt, you have to run the ball?
    2) True or False : You are up by 8 points, it's 4th and 2 inside at your opponent's 42. You can go for it.
    3) True or False : You are up by 9 points, your ball at your opponent's 1 yard line, it's 4th and 1. It's 3rt quarter, you can go for it.
    4) Yes or No : Your ball at opponent's 43, 4th down and inches in 4th qrt and you are up by 10 points. It's kind of long for your kicker, and you want to fake punt. Are you allowed fake punt/fg in this situation?
    5) Yes or No : Your ball at opponent's 43, 4th down and 2 in 3th qrt and you are up by 7. It's kind of long for your kicker, and you want to fake fg/punt. Are you allowed to do that here?
    6) Multiple Choices : When can you run Goalline formation? A) Inside your 10 B) Inside your opponent's 10 C) it's 1 yard or less to go anywhere on the field D) All of the above.
    7) Another member suggested to you, "hey, send me your 90 overall player to help me out, and I will send back some porn videos of Nina Mercedes". What would you tell that member? A) "Yes, anything for Nina Mecedez videos" B) "No, dude, that is abuse and Nina's porn videos are all over the net anyway"

Good Luck! Remember to PM me or DSF your answer. We will announce it asap.

If someone fails the test, do they get booted from the playoffs?

Donk may not be able to take it because of his internet connection issue.

Please review the rules before playing your playoff game. You guys should have no issue regarding rules after this testing. Have fun and be respectfully to each other.

Here are the PML Rules : http://www.maddentips.com/forums/sho...d.php?t=136463

    1) True or False : If you are up by more than 21 points and it's 3th qrt, you have to run the ball?

ANS: FALSE, the rule state "If you are up more than 21 points and in 4th qrt, then run the ball. If you score running the ball so be it, but don't punt or run out of bounce if you have daylight in front of you. 1st through 3rd quarter, everything and anything goes."

    2) True or False : You are up by 8 points, it's 4th and 2 inside at your opponent's 42. You can go for it.

ANS: TRUE, the rule states "If you're up by 9 or more, then you must punt or kick FG (if you are close enough). Otherwise, it's at your discretion for the following scenarios:
    1) 4th and 1 or less.
    2) Down by 9 or more.
    3) Inside your opponent's 45.
    4) In the 4th Qrt.

*Since you are up only by 1 score, and it's inside opp's 45 you can go for it.

    3) True or False : You are up by 9 points, your ball at your opponent's 1 yard line, it's 4th and 1. It's 3rt quarter, you can go for it.

ANS: FALSE, the key here is 9 points, you must punt or kick fg. Can't for it here.

    4) Yes or No : Your ball at opponent's 43, 4th down and inches in 4th qrt and you are up by 10 points. It's kind of long for your kicker, and you want to fake punt. Are you allowed fake punt/fg in this situation?

ANS: NO, again the key here is 10 points, you can't go for it by 4th down rule hence you can not fake punt.

    5) Yes or No : Your ball at opponent's 43, 4th down and 2 in 3th qrt and you are up by 7. It's kind of long for your kicker, and you want to fake fg/punt. Are you allowed to do that here?

ANS: YES, since you are up only by 7 points (9 points or more), and you are inside opp's 43, you can go for it by 4th down rule hence you can fake punt/fg.

    6) Multiple Choices : When can you run Goalline formation? A) Inside your 10 B) Inside your opponent's 10 C) it's 1 yard or less to go anywhere on the field D) All of the above.

ANS: D, all of the above as the rule states "this can be used in these situations A) inside your 10, B) inside your opponent's 10 or C) 1 yard or less to go anywhere on the field. Otherwise, don't."

ANS: it's obviously A. All of you got it wrong. LOL.

While all, but one passed...some of you still miss the 4th down question, please review rules before playing playoff games.

    DJ got 5 out 7 -> PASSED
    1) False, Run the ball in the 4th quarter when up by 21, not in the 3rd.
    2) True - inside opponent's 45, you can go for it
    3) True - 4th and 1, you can go for it.
    4) Yes (4th down rules apply so you can go for it, which means fake punt/fg can be used) 4th and inches says you can go for it.
    5) Yes (same thing, 4th down rules say you can go for it, so the fakes can be used) inside your opponent's 45 says you can go for it

I dont agree at all with the two that I didn't pass.

on #3, the rule says you can go for it on 4th and 1.
on #5, the rule says beyond the opponent's 45 you can go for it.

So both scenarios you can go for it. I should know, I practically wrote the dang rule!

Seriously, if there's confusion then we need to rewrite/revisit the rule to make clear what items take precedence.

*If you are up by 9 or more, then u must punt or kick fg. If you are up by 8 or less, or 0-0, or trailing then you can go for it by these scenarios:
    1) 4th and 1 or less.
    2) Down by 9 or more.
    3) Inside your opponent's 45.
    4) In the 4th Qrt.

If we need to revisit this after the season, then we should. But for this season, we must stick with these rules.

What I'm saying is that phrase right there says that if the situation matches any one of those 4 scenarios then you can go for it.

Really, the only time you can't go for it for sure is when you're up by 9 points. Otherwise, if it's any one of those 4 scenarios, then the rule currently says you can go for it. That's how it's written. If the intention is something else then we need a clarification right away.
