    Good Gun for a SPEED Class???

    you guys know i play a lot of CTF. I generally use a "speed" set up for this game mode. Marathon and Lightweight... and usually Commando for that 3rd perk so i can jump off anything with no problem.

    i pretty much use strictly assault rifles... ACR, Scar, Tar, M16... but i was reading that you get slowed down a bit from toting a rifle over SMG's. so i set out to find an SMG i liked for this class.

    what it boiled down to, is that i SUCK with all of them. i dont like any of them. i cant kill anyone outside of like 10 feet and even at close range it seems these bad boys recoil all over the place. so i chose to go with the P90 do to the 100 shots. got that bastard up to Akimbo and now it is a close range monster. 200 bullets and pray & spray has been working well for me in close quarters.

    ok, so here is my question, what SMG would you suggest for my set up and why? and more than likely i am going to want to Akimbo them. so another question would be, how much does Steady Aim help Akimbo'd weapons? is it a must have?

    I would go UMP and P90 because they seem to be the SMGs that are least affected by lack of stopping power. I really wouldn't akimbo them though because you lose the option of long range. If you really want to akimbo, I would run around with akimbo Glocks and keep a UMP for longer ranges (assuming you still want SMG speed)

    that brings up another question... if i have an Assault Rifle on my back and have out my secondary, does that affect my speed?

    oh, and how many rounds does the Glock hold?

    UMP with Holographic
    TMP
    Marathon
    Lightweight Pro
    Commando Pro

    Throwing Knife, Stun Grenade

    Just using the Ump makes you faster. Well at least it seems like it after using assault rifles for so long.

    i notice you said you would take the Ump over the M16... explain why. can you hit people at distance with it?

    The M16 just doesn't work for me for some reason. I have been able to get long range kills with the Ump I used it a lot with the ACOG on it and it seemed pretty accurate if you keep the bursts short.

    Yes it does. Your primary controls how fast you run I believe.

    The Glock holds 32 rounds I believe.

    I also strongly do not reccomend using an ACOG on the UMP. The sights on it are pretty good as well. I would use FMJ, silencer, or extended magazines.

    64 rounds of pray and spray is only a little over half of what one P90 gets me. i'll have to experiment and see if the speed trade off is worthe still having a long distance shot. im gonna have to give the glocks a try as well.

    Play some FFA, It'll be easier lol... but once you unlock Akimbo it gets a lot easier.

    what are your reasons and pros and cons of each?
    If you really want the magnum tac knife, use the default class with the UMP and use the magnum tac knife on there. It'll add to your total magnum kills.

    Yes, if you knife someone with Magnum TK you still get points as if you shot the guy! I was pleasantly suprised when I found this out.

    I just started using a UMP class with holo scope and FMJ's. I think FMJ's are the dumbest attachment in the game because they never seem to come in handy. I can't get bullet penetration kills for crap, but I just want to finish them so I can get the special titles for the guns. Any advice before I start boosting, haha.

    Also, I tried the ACOG on it and the results weren't pretty at all.

    How I got the extended mags was by shooting through walls unnecessarily. If someone was unsuspecting and crouching behind a barrier, I would intentionally shoot through the barrier. Otherwise, if you're really looking for FMJ kills, I would run sleight of hand so you can spray through walls and not be too vulnerable while reloading.
