Special teams -fg blcck -punt block

    Owners please read:

If a FG or Punt or any other special teams mishap happens you can be held responsible for those actions. The owners involve should save the highlight and post the highlight to the boards.

To avoid such issues simply pick a standard defense and let the play play out.

Now I have seen in some cpu games where an extra point gets blocked by someone shooting in up the middle. Not sure why that happened but it did.

So to avoid this picking a cover standard not blitzing defense should do the trick.

We will be forced to potentially suspend owners or thrown owners out on these items.

quick question. i dont want to make a big deal out of this since this seems like a good solution but whats the rule on fake fg's and punts? i read you can go for it anywhere on 4th and inches and 4th and anything on the opponents side of the 50. this question might be totally unrelated but i was just curious.

I agree with ^ if I can move people on D to set up against a Fake FG, then they should not be able to do a fake FG. Either you choose to go for it or not, but no fake FG or Fake punts if I cant move people to try and stop one.

Franchise correct me here if I am wrong.

The goal behind having everyone pick a base defense (Cover 2, 3, etc.) is so that if someone does run a fake you won't be at a disadvantage. If they kick a FG or Punt your not going to block it anyways. By picking a base defense it guards against fakes and gives zero chance for a glitch (hopefully) if your opponent decides to kick.

when you line up in Punt block against FG, one of the interior linemen will attempt to go outside to pick up the extra rushers off of the edge. As he runs back to meet the rusher, I think being that it's a long FG and we tend to opt for a line drive kick, the trajectory is lower, so it hits that lkneman.

I've never had one run on me, and I thought it was against the rules as well

I don't use it as well. If I am going to punt, I am going to punt, same for an FG. I hope my opponents would do the same. I can't even remember if I added that as a rule when I first did them.

so whats the rule in regards to fake punt?

i ran a fake punt when i was down 14 and made it then my opponent started crying and kept telling me i needed to punt the ball back to him or he will forfeit, then he kept pausing it after everyplay because i didnt punt it back, it was a huge waste of my time.

my opponent last week went for a fake punt which i thought was pretty cheesy as well but i would like to know what the rule is. What are the rules in 4th and inch situations? Can you go for it anywhere on the field? is that the same as 4th and 1? and if someone goes for it what should we do about it?

    Here is the rule::

    Fair Play

4th down rules: If you are on your opponent’s side of the field, feel free to go for it at anytime. If you are on your side of the field, punt the ball.
If you are on your own side of the field and it’s 4th and inches, you may go for it.

If you are down in the 4th quarter, you may for it anywhere in the field if you do choose go for it.

No rule against running up the score, but if you're up by 25 you may want to pound the ball and use the clock. No one’s getting a prize for racking up the most points or yardage.

Onside kicks: Only allowed in the 2nd half only if you are losing

A no-huddle offense is allowed except after an incomplete pass.

Goal Line Formation Usage: It can be only used inside 10 yard line on either side of the field or in short yardage situations such as 3rd and inches or 4th and inches.

FG and Extra Points: No defenders can be moved period before snap. If you move a defender, it's an automatic loss of downs on your next possession. You must punt the ball on first down. If you do it again, then your out of league.

Play your games in the true spirit of the game. Everyone here knows what that means. We also know what good sportsmanship means. We know the game can be emotional at times, but limit any posts that bash your opponent afterwards. In fact, don't post right after a loss if you are emotional. Just back off.'

    Substitutions:
This is really simple. Offensive players must play offense, Defensive players must play defense. Other than that, feel free to move players where you want, you are the coach of your team.
