    Need a new style.......

    For 2 different defenses......

    Bears

Man there Defensive backfield has to be the worse in madden .... Tillman 82 Bolmen 72, manning 73, Payne 73....So how would u use them without playing a lot of fag zones...I usually use the 46, but theres no way i can use it with those Db's....

After the update, pretty much everybody sucks other than Briggs and Urlacher.....It'll probaly be the same next in 2012 for the exception of Peppers.............

    any suggestions?

You can't use the 46 with a poor secondary, but you could do what teams with bad individual secondary players do: COVER 2.

Play cover 2 often enough and you are gonna get smoked.

As for the Bears defense, it's not that bad at all. Don't pay too much attention to OVR ratings. They're not that meaningful. Look at the speed in the linebackers. If you're gonna use the Bears defense you need to take advantage of that. It's a great defense to run the 44 with. You also have a real fast FS in Manning.

Yea your right about that.... Ive tried the 44 this week, and still trying to get a feel for it..... I'm not a great manual player and that Def. holds my game back...i usually control De's but in the 44 i like using the olb's because of their allignment.....

My biggest problem witith the 43 books is finding a good nickle and dime plays.. I'm getting killed on 3rd downs especially passes acrosss the Middle

The bears secondary is bad,but its decent if you know how to use them
yes,you have very slow corners but you have Manning,he is bad overall, but he is the fastest safety in the gm,so if you have some nice stick, you can take advantage of that,of having him as a one safety and have the other aide in more zone to help out the cb's

perhaps the best set of lb's besides seattle, when i use the bears,my opps tend not to run in the middle or throw in the middle, they rather attack the corners, use this to your advantage also, bears lb's can cover ALOT of ground,so picking defenses like nickel, nickel 3-3-5,dollar and some dime flat that has these guys in space to make plays

Dont rely on your cb's in man coverage too much, bears d thrive on zone coverage, and alot of zone blitzing,as base,i like to keep the bears db's in deep zone coverage assignments(to make them do one thing, instead of asking them to do alot of exotic things, cause they are not good or have the awareness to do alot,i keep them away from man and have my lb's cover ground

and imo, your backend is only as good as your front four
if you getting burnt alot, you need to look at your pass rush
manual user these guys, they are good at getting to the qb
one gm i had the eagles and this guy had the bears,im thinking im going to have a career day,but he did what im telling you right now,he hit me in the mouth by that ferocious pass rush and i wouldnt dare throw it to the middle, and when i throw to the flats ,those deep zone cb's will quickly wrap me up,they are good tacklers and strippers

get that pass rush str8'n out,mix in alot of different zones, blitzes in ur LB corehave your cb's consistent in doing one thing, and if sometimes u decide to bring the hose,u got the fastest safety in the gm who can catch up to everything

Bears work best in the 4-4, but they are versatlie enough to play a zone scheme 3-4 as well.

Agreed... But if you play anything enough you're gonna get smoked. But teams with bad corners and a good defensive line can at run Cover 2 schemes (doesn't mean stay with 2 defense the whole game though).

Nah, I can run Cover 3 pretty much all game and not get smoked. What you're saying makes sense in real life, but not in Madden. Fades, slant-outs and streaks on the outside are so common in Madden Cover 2 is just a bad idea. And if they have someone going to the flats, your CB won't even press on that side. Only time you should run Cover 2 is if you are almost certain your opponent will throw to the flats. And even then, a QB rolling out will pretty much nullify that.

Their strength is LB, so the 4-4 or 3-4 would probably work best. The Tenn defensive playbook has a solid 4-4 with some solid nickle and 3-3-5, 1-5-5 defenses. I'm thinking with the pure LB speed if you go between 4-4 and the modified nickle packages you'll have a lot of success.

Stick with the 46 if u can change up ur dline (anderson, brown, harris and wale) create pressure with sum good blitzes or nanos to most people, u will be surprised at what our corners can do even against the best in the game, also like michura said dont pay attention to overall rating, look at speed press, etc ( sub in moore at NB, hes also fast) stick with it, 46 has enough options to keep ur oppenent guessing, even though 44 is good as well.... ( RETURN BEARS D 2 DOMINANCE)....

I feel u chief. Absolutely, if you run something too often, someone will expose its weakness.
