How to hit hard on defense?

I was playing against someone that forced my running backs and wide receivers to fumble the ball after they hit me hard. How do i do that? Ive been reading about a "hit stick"? How do i use it on PS3? Forgive my ignorance, im new here

Thank you in advance for your feedback!

the manual for madden works wonders

but you can use the hit stick by using the right analog stick...pushing it different directions will enable you to hitstick high/low on the ball carrier or to shed blocks when using a D lineman

Its all about taking the right angle to the ball.If u dont line up the tackle properly you failed b4 u flicked the stick.

As a general rule u should only go for the ko blow if A-u have a good angle or B-if u have teammates nearby that can cover for u if u miss.

Tap it right b4 u make contact. It takes a little practice but u should be able to deliver big hits onna regular basis once u learn the proper tackle angles.

There is supposedly a glitch out there to increase the rate of hitstick fumbles.

It's something like holding the strip button and hit stick at the same or some nonsense like that although I'm not sure.

However, sometimes things happen tho, you guys could be getting tired then getting hit, or you just happen to get hit with good hitters, which can result in fumbles.

I had a game where the guy would sqib kick everytime and time the hitstick, I fumble at least 6 times that game.

    Nonsense? Glitch? How?

Seems as if hitting the Strip button in conjunction with the Hit Stick SHOULD cause more fumbles, which wouldn't be a glitch at all. And YES, it does work to cause more fumbles as well as miss tons more tackles.

It's merely the MOST AGGRESSIVE way to attempt to cause fumbles. It works against folks that are reckless with the ball, but doesn't work against those who are careful.

If you have good fundamentals; switching the ball to the outside or covering the ball in trafffic, you won't have to worry about it.

    Glitch... Hmmmph... Don't believe it.
