i tend to play alot of people who tend to run twin wide reciever formations(i form twin wr, strong i twin wr, weak i twin we)there not an exact way to stop them i dnt think because u have 2 worry about the tight end all da way on the outside doing a corner route n the slot wr going str8 to the middle on a play action what are some ways to shut these formations down?? if any1 has any ideas post reply
best way imo,is to play like a 4-3 zone,3-4 zones work well
u can do alot of nickel,so the naked side where the te is at,there is atleast a cb there so of obvious routes like te corners are not so much a threat
and..you have to look at the object of the twin set....theres no deep threat on the naked side of the field,so i would user my ss i roam, cheat inside if theres a run i have a chance to make a play, and if they use the famous pa where the far side wr is doing a streak, slot wr doing a post in the middle and te doing a corner route, well you dont have to worry about the far side wr cause u got help...just focus ur ss on the slot wr and the te,as for that PA pass play,i user my ss and focus on the te route first cuz that route most players would look for first,it becomes more open than the slot wr coming across the field, take away that route and then quickly hop on the slot wr route
remember theres no deep threats on the naked side of the field so playing 2 deep isnt always neccessary, cheat that ss
they also like to bite to the flat on a play action n dat slot wr kills bump n run if not usered on. tru wat ur saying bout a nickel to the fb, but they also run the hb smash 2 the strong, or naked side the te is on and try 2 switch it up with play action . i will lab on these formations and study all the plays in them 2nite so ill b prepared. do u play on ps2 was you gamertag?
