Obama Playing Games with Job Number through Census

    This is unbelievable.

    http://www.realclearpolitics.com/vid..._inflated.html

So in order to create a fake drop in unemployment the administration has concocted a scheme where workers will be laid off after sometimes only 6 hours of work, and then rehired a week later. But here's the catch...when they are "re-hired" Obama is counting that as ANOTHER JOB CREATED!

Think about how many census workers there are and if you do this lay-off, re-hire cycle 3-4 times with each, how ridiculously inflated the numbers become.

And how does "Maria" know how that happens? Just because she was a Census worker for 6 hours? Not saying that may be the case, just saying there's a little credibility problem with Miss "Maria". Six hours as an in-field Census worker and she is privvy to the inner-workings of the White House? Really? Or is that just how her State Unemployment office does things?

I think you've mislabeled the thread though. It should really be "Dept. of Labor..." Obama looks at the same numbers as we do. The truth is, there just aren't many jobs available the way people want them. I think part of the problem lies in the fact that people that are unemployed, can sometimes fall into the trap of thinking, "Well, I'm worth this salary, etc." when in reality, if you're not working you're basically not worth anything. People are just lazy and don't want to start over.

Exactly, if you are unemployed your stock is worth nothing.

Having a good resume doesn't help to much because those hiring are looking to hire the person they can pay the lowest to do the job.

The companies got bailed out and the people get nothing. That pisses me off.

This certainly isn't true in my industry. Employers are looking for the best possible candidates and will pay more if you are good.

I guess technically it would be a created job, just as a lay off would be a job loss.

Most government numbers are pure propaganda. Unemployment, CPI, GDP etc. are just plain BS.

The market hated this job report to begin with--so if some of the jobs are bogus they'd hate it even more. lol. If you're going to fudge numbers better make it have a positive effect.
