    Hitting

What the hell am I doing wrong? I cannot get the timing down the save my life in this game. Even on easy i can't hit the ****ing ball. I've played the show before and it has never been this freaking hard to hit.

I can't tell where the hell the pitches are going and even if i guess right, my timing it completely off on the swings. I'm at a loss for words at this point.

I know its supposed to be hard but its ridiculous.

Lol, yeah it can be a ***** but here's what I do:
I guess the 4-seamer for a pitch and low for the zone. Usually always take the first pitch even if I'm locked on, it gives you a better sense of the timing. Don't swing for the fences unless you're up in the count. If you're down in the count just wait til the last second and foul the pitches off and don't swing at garbage. By picking the low zone you can more or less tee off on the high pitches because you're not locked in and stuck hitting liners or pop outs.

Why is that? Too new-fangled-contraption-like for the old timers?

No, it's a crutch. It's a pussification of the game for children. Use that sht online against any experienced user and you'll get pwned big time.

The key to hitting in this game is being patient. Don't put yourself on the defensive on the first pitch by trying to read an react. Think like a hitter - wait on the pitch you want until you have 2 strikes on you. Once you have 2 strikes you are in a defensive mode at the plate and you need to read and react to the pitch.

But using buttons to tell you what pitch is coming and where is what I'd expect from a 6 year old who's just learning about baseball. Man up.

Lol, if I wanted to man up, I'd put the beer down, grab my glove, and actually play.
