I've tried countless times to sum my slow outside LBs for my faster SSs in the 46 but it only lets me sub LBs for LBs and SSs for CBs or FSs. I've seen ppl do it but I don't know how.

If you select the preset speed package at the 46 play call screen it's going to sub a couple DB's in there in place of 2 of your LB's.. I'm pretty sure the OLB's get subbed out. Get some fast tacklers at 3 and 4 on your CB depth chart and see how that works.
