Ps2 Player Unite Let's get This game back Online

Hello everyone my name is Nolan Klein. I am a diehard ps2 player who has been on ps2 or xbox since 2001. The older version plays so much better & is a lot funner than the Ps3 version. I wanna start a petition to EA Sports to either update the rosters for madden 2010 or enable online for madden 2011. We neeed ideas on how to go about this & get this game back online. I would be fine with Madden 2010 with new rosters. I really feel Ea would do what we needed if we push the right buttons. Who all is for giving this a shot, Nolan

I still play on CG. But to behonest I dont even play online anymore.. To me 2010 was the worst game I have ever seen.. I still play 09..

I doubt I will buy Madden anymore. Unless I upgrade to a NG system witch is very unlikley since I don't play any other games..

Ya come up with a good ideal but the fact remains that we cant get the ps2 players to unity. I dont know why i really think if you boycott buying this year version and had guys click on and signing to let ea sports what they did was wrong maybe you could send a messages to ea sports. But since the 3 of you are ps2 players there is something about to go down and we hook up and play our brand of football. There has to be something that can be done or maybe a roster update for Madden 2010

Look lj dont hold your breath this plan was put in place to kill the system and player and that brand of madden football.
As far as giving us any roster updates you are now on your own. They sold a game that is a shell of it self no online and no future roster updates.
The sad thing is they should know we are in a recession and to get a postive return on a product shouldnt been a problem.
But ea decide to play god and say that for the good of the gammer he needs to chose nextgen. Now i thought that as a gammer you should have the choice on what gamming system you like to spend your money on.
This deal is done and by the ps2 players just talking and not trying to do anything about this issuse. That what ea is loving you still have players getting online to play but ea said that it wasnt good to continue to have servers up due to lack of players.
You know what funny you still have servers up for madden 08 and 09 and you barley have 20 players on those servers.
Now give me a break this move was done to make the commited player make the switch. So in essence they couldnt beat you with the product that they have had 5 years to do so they force the change.
It would be nice if the ps2 players unity to let ea know that we arent going for this crap. But we have too many ps2 players that are aloof and when it comes to getting stuff done they disappear.
Once again thanks for making your opion know and if you need any help or can organize something i will help if you need it. But with the ea staff not answering question and just hiding in the shadows this is a done deal.
Also you still have ea service reps still lying to the consumer saying if you complain they might decide to redo this madden. Please give me a break this madden is done and they have left the buildng. Alc

m09 online was scrapped last march i think

but even when m10 was out i was using 09 and there was always 500-1000 ppl online

cant believe i spent 30$ on nothing.

cg is pretty and all..but the game play leaves a lot to be desired.

Take, for instance defensive hot route's (or nanos as some call it), i like how on ps2 you can simply use the right stick to re-route your defender.

In comparison the ps3 has "strategy pad". basically a menu of options to audible a defender or line,secondary. To HR a player you have tap the dpad at least 3 times. Thats just for 1 man. We know vets dont just HR one player for every play. Theres multiple. And different ones for whatever look your opponent is throwing at you.

So, using this brilliant "strategy pad" is much like communicating with fking morse code. Its not brilliant at all. Its tedious.

Thats just 1 aspect where i feel that cg is superior. Theres plenty more.

You know what is funny about all this. This is the time to go into action mode. For one thing the nextgen game is a complete washout and you know what they know it. I have talk to nextgen players that are saying the game isnt real and it basicly a offense showdown. No defense that you play is good enough to contain nor stop your opponet. Also the unreal nature of guys running back 6 kickoff in a game. Plus the fact that a running back can break tackle after tackle no matter what.
The producers know they have problems and to compound that they have to come out with a patch to correct those with in the game.
What is so funny each and every year for the last 5 they have had to come with a patch to correct problems with the nextgen game. But in our game once made the game just play and rock and roll until the next version came out.
This would be the best time for ps2 players to campaign that what ea has did is wrong. I know you cant go in front of the gamestop or eb games and pickett. But there has to be someone with some knowledge to show the proof that nextgen game stinks and only reason ps2 was ran was due to compertiton that it put on nextgen.
There really isnt a real reason to shutdown the game the way that they did. They made money on this product every year and not only that you had a buying public that support it
also you still have players that got online to play the game and some where nextgen players that couldnt take it no more with the problems and unreal nature of there game.
What is so funny the game has been out a week and they have more players going back to return the game instead of buying it.
Along with the fact that they have had to reduce prices to genarate sales this game has tooken a major hit from the consumer.
This is the time to let your voices be heard and to organize and let ea know that this stunt that they did was wrong to the public and to ps2 consumer.
Only thing is we dont seem to have enough players on board to make this happen. Alc

I bought madden 2011 for ps2 today. As a ps2 xbox player since 2001 I will do whatever it takes to get this game back online where it belongs. I am not shy about creating an organization to fight this bullcrap that EA has done to madden. Anyone who knows what good madden is will tell you ps3 is trash. I would rather play my friends offline & the cpu on ps2 then play the trash that is on ps3.

One problem we have is the audience of players on ps3 is casual gamers much younger than I believe many of the ps2 elite players are were. I would like to start a petition and I need names and support. I am Nolan Klein 25 years old & from Kansas City Missouri. There is no reason to give up I need support though tell any and everyone who likes the older Madden we need help. Guys, start playing madden 08 on PC. It plays identical to ps2 08 and their online franchise interface rocks.

you know wuts sad is on the EA site they still show the cover with an "online" badge and there is no mention of there not being an online feature anywhere to be found.

I doubt this will happen it will take them a whole year to create a new game..

they should just allow roster updates for madden 10 thats all you need is the correct rosters the rest of the game is the same.
