You could compete with any team when the game was new. But now - I wouldn't try it.

However most leagues that use straight rosters ONLY run for 30 days before starting the playoffs. Then they redraft in reverse order. So a Super Bowl Champion would get saddled with weaker teams the following month.

But the VG League pace isnt as vigorous. It's 2 games per week which means the season would be 8 weeks before the playoffs. Thats a comfortable pace since most of us have other duties to tend too.

If you're going to be saddled with a team for the remainder of the football season it should be a team you either hand pick or a team you truly like. Else we'll be right back where we started in 3 weeks with people quitting.
