It wasn't quite the butt grazing they had hoped for, but the Eagles defended their division title from a year ago against fierce rival DrMonkeyDance and his band of red skins. The Eagles jumped out to a 24-3 lead on some tough defense. A few turnovers favoring the Eagles D meant that even Matt Moore couldn't foul up this game for the visiting Eagles.
First round pick DT Storm Williams made his impact known on the very first play as he instantaneously destroyed a run play up the gut. He and Vince Wilfork will be menaces all year.
Troy Polamalu, after missing most of last season due to injury, was back and played his usual fierce game. Offseason FA pickup OLB Thomas Howard was a beast off the edge, but fellow FA Leon Washington had zero success on offense or in the return game. He was seen after the game in a heated discussion with the offensive coordinator. Something about wackass play calling or something like that. He needs to shut up and play, bastard. There were some rumors that he might be benched and only used as a specialist. We'll see in week 2...
anyway, I digress. It was a good start to the season. GG Donk. Tough luck with the turnovers![]()
