Going to take Kobra's silence as a not great thing. As weird as last year was without Bert, Kobra stepping up and doing his thing was fantastic. I do have to say that I also really enjoyed the perspective that the Madden Bible guys bring. As serious and deep as Kobra is, the Mad-den Show on YouTube had some good info and some humor without taking themselves too seriously. After-all, it's still a game.

At the end of the day, the community is best served with all these guys competing and working separately to make the bet product. Prima gobbling them up will be fine but something seems to be lost in terms of the community feel. Now it seems corporate.

With that being said, good luck to Bert and all the guys working with Prima and EA. I have no doubt they'll work just as hard to provide us with great strategy info. Even I Prima is charging about twice what we're used to seeing charged for strategy ebooks.

Since things sometimes get misunderstood on the boards I want to be clear, Kobra rules!!! Been used to your voice for years and it will be missed on the strategy guides.

I think Bert & Kobra are the only site owners that actually quit doing the ebooks, all the other sites I looked at are still selling Madden tips, EA gave their implied consent by their silence & inaction allowing them to sell tips for the last 10 years, now this? sounds like BS to me, this should make it easy to shut down people online, same scheme over & over, not all, but by a lot of people.

Prima is missing the boat on this one if they do not get with the writers from this site and put out more than 1 scheme, tunnel vision? I think so.

The site will live on, the forums will live on, and the Sports Bar will live on. In addition I'll be working with Prima to help with the promotion and direction of their strategy products for Madden this season. I'll also be helping administrate the site and keep it rolling along.

For me, life will be a little bit different but I look forward to the new challenges and opportunities. For all of you guys on the forums it will be business as usual. You won't skip a beat. So get on that demo and start scoping out your playbook because we are only a few short weeks away from Madden time!

Here's the biggest issue for people who like to delve into strat guides.... now there is only once source so all these people will be doing the same thing from the same strat guide. There's no variety of perspective.

This fits the mold of EA quite well. One football game one type of guide sounds about right. No variety!! Oh well.

I'm sorry to hear that Prima has taken over. I seen all of the hard work you have put in over the years and for them to take over the rights is tough for me. Thank you for hiring me and allow The Compression Offense to be born here. Thank you for allow EMB to form here and be a place for the crew. I have learned a lot from you and I always use to ask Squeeze when would this ride end? It's sad to see it end this way, but I thank you for allowing me to be on the team. What I learned here helped me with my football site and made it what it is today. (Thanks Kobra and Bert) I also would like to thank Ron J for helping me get in the VG business. We may not speak to one another (may not ever) but I still thank you for putting a bug in Bert's ear to let me in. I own a lot to all of you and it was a pleasure. I will also miss working with Kobra as well. He is the hardest working guy I have ever met.

A word to whoever reading this (they know who)...it's not the name that drove this company, but the people who worked for it. VG Sports Inc. had the best staff hands down and we changed the way people viewed/played this game. VG was the driving force for years and we set the trend that was a blueprint for all of the other knock off sites. Cheers (everyone raise a glass) to the best Race team that was ever put together. Take care everyone and congrads on your deal Bert. It was a good one and you earned it.

Kobra did put out great info and tips. I just recently found his site last year and enjoyed even the free content he posted up like the formations that could be found in certain playbooks, etc. His video breakdowns were second to none. Almost like you were watching Jaw's from ESPN breakdown plays.

Definitely going to miss that and I will say I'm highly disappointed as I was looking forward to his Madden 12 stuff

I think all of this is disgusting. I can't even bring myself to comment on this yet because it's just going to come out bad.

I guess I don't care too much. It's bert's site and his decision. Plus I'm a very casual madden user now if I even buy it.

A lot of us are just loyal to Bert and Kobra and that's what all the fuss is about. I myself am loyal, that's why I've never strayed away from this site. A lot of us are just frustrated that this has happened. I'm sure there are some that are going to turn their back from this particular community that have been lifers because it's not so much the website, it's people behind the scenes. When these people are no longer here or around it's going to take the flavor out of this community. Nothing anyone can do about that.

Football video gaming is changing folks, the industry is changing, it's getting uglier (sadly), the money grabbers are in full force, politics are coming into the fray and it's changing the very essence why a lot of us are still here. I'm not speaking for the community, I'm speaking for myself.

Sometimes change is good, sometimes it isn't.

I can honestly say I've lost some fizzle over this whole situation.
