That maybe our "enemies" aren't as dangerous to us as most would like us to believe and that if you want the Western world to play nice you need a central bank. Look at the Libya situation, the world bank offered to loan $$$ to the new Libyan government that sets up to rebuild Libya. Libya takes that $$$ and they're in the fold.

Some of those countries aren't even near the level of being developed to actually have central banking in fairness. I see what you're saying and I think there's some validity to it, but I don't think it's because of the banking systems. To me, it seems any country that doesn't go out of it's way to accept westernization or "welcoming to the fold" by the US, are the real targets. If there's a McDonalds or a WalMart, you probably won't get bombed.

A central bank isn't an indicator of development. Zimbabwe has a central bank, and we know where their currency went.
