    Cardinals Playbook

I ran into a guy, BobDigi, who had this playbook pretty much down. It has alot of routes that have odd cuts. The timing and spacing on them are also very well designed. For those looking to specialize in shotgun sets, you should really give it a look. Even players like myself, who will only use created playbooks and rarely uses shotgun, could benefit from seeing how these plays were designed. The book's built in route combos are tremendous.

i use the zona' pb and its really good,im still learning tho
but im having a tuff time trying to run with these zone running concepts, since my team titans arent a zone-blocking team
theres this one play out of singleback y-trips (i dont know the name)
but the far left isolated wr takes a hard slant in and breaks it to the outside
i would throw a lob to the sideline right before he breaks his route outside
if you got good user skills, you can user him to catch the pass on the sideline
theres great separation and the defender is almost always lost in coverage
if you just let the cpu make the catch,it wont work cause the db always in position to knock it down
i only use it vs man coverage

This book has a ton of routes like that. I learned very quickly that I could only run man in spots.

The Arizona playbook has been that way for the last 3 years Gav. You really need to get out of the fortune cookie factory more often.

I ran man all last year. No Arizona playbook user could force me out of it.

    This year, things have changed.

I got fired from my fortune cookie gig. They didn't like my sense of humor. My best cookie was:

You will have to poop real soon.

Everyone knows the weakness of this book is with the run plays. What formations do you guys use in short yardage and clock running situations? What plays do you use?

I'm experimenting with the Weak I Twins TE formation. It gives you an actually usable Counter-Weak play, as well as a Toss and off tackle play.

Too many players rely heavily on Strong I Close for running and they're having trouble because veteran players have lockdown D for that by now. The Weak I Twins TE is actually a better base running set to have this late in the season.

The primary run plays I use out of Weak I Twins TE are Counter Weak, Toss Weak, and HB Dive. Do you have any suggestions for hot routing the quick pass, deep pass, or pa pass options out of that formation? The routes seem pretty ineffective to me so far.

Streaks and slants are sufficient this year. Just back shoulder throw the outside streaks and face throw the inside ones - then click on and undercut to user catch. You can also d-pad down streaks to turn them into curls - then click on and come back to the ball to catch it. Slants, throw on the break against man - and wait till they reach the other side of the field against zone.

Then you can throw in curl-flat combos - or - slant out-streak-flat combos - if you want overkill this year.

Adding in, the Weak I HB Dives hit so quickly that they're tremendous at getting the HB to the second level as long as you're patient and are willing to see the hole and cut back to give your blockers an angle to protect you.

Yeah the Weak I Twins TE is a very nice run formation, I'll just stick with the normal slant out / streak flood combos and curl routes vs man type of hot routes. I was just wondering if you had a good set up for any of the quick audible passes specifically in that formation. Thanks GAV.

Isn't the Texans play book better for runs?

What is the big difference between the string close and the weak I twins the formation for running? Is the weak I a better power run set?
