Defensive help

I just got ran on, passed on, qb ran on by rivers... I just have no idea what was going on. He passed ALL over me than ran -_-, i run 46 with the ravens. Ran 335 cover 3 and put sugs in hook zone. whole field covered. then he ran with rivers. i put a spy, then he could throw. i did pressure but its no use when he was in shotgun. am i doing something wrong? or could anyone lab to help? 360- l YMCMB l lower case 'L' s

I like the 46 and the 335 Bear also and was done in by Vick last night. I could use a little help really understanding these sets also. What's the best defensive set to get coverage about 20 - 30 yards down the field in the middle between the hash marks? I cannot get off the field when I really need it on 3rd and long. Also, I need help with 3rd and Goal from 3+ yards to go. Underneath the goal post seems to be wide open when I try to zone up for the quick pass using Cover 2. 3rd down is killing me when guys go to their money play.

Yeah that's same problem here. If someone is slightly good at throwing im done. Well not done, but not the defense I should be playing. As for your 20-30 yard d plays try the 335 cover 3 (purple zone). And then uphill notice that the LOLB is blitzing, drop him into a hook zone and move him out. Works for me. But I just feel slow on defense

I love the 335 Cover 3. I use it all the time and flip it to counter the hurry up offense to provide a different look. It has a 4 man rush with the OLB rushing the QB. I usually have to send 1 more LB to get a decent pass rush. When I don’t get a decent pass rush it seems to give up 20 – 30 passes in the middle of the field. It covers outside the hash marks very well. It seems like with the proper adjustments it could work even better for me.
