What I am unclear on is if some of you are saying Martin had no right in fighting Zimmerman, if he indeed did. Without knowing the particulars of their engagement, could reasoning that Martin was employing his own means of self-defense? I mean, Zimmerman was told not to follow Martin. Had he listened, none of this would have occurred. Him not heeding that direction shows of some sort of aggressiveness on his behalf to me. Again, no one knows what happened once he approached Martin, but I mean we know who the initial aggressor was based off of that information, although not sure what, if anything, that does for the case.

Trayvon, walking minding his own business
Zimmerman, is following him after calling 911 and being told not to.
A scuffle ensues, Zimmerman is shot dead.

Trayvon's story would make more sense. "I was walking and minding my business, this guy came up to me and started harassing me. I stood my ground, we started fighting. I defended myself and shot him"

This would be an even more believable story (were it to happen) and a better case of standing your ground, but does anyone think that given that circumstance, Trayvon would be walking around free?
