If "if's and and's were pots and pans we'd all be gourmet chefs".
I think the funny part is white people don't want him to be white, even though he's 50% white. And hispanics don't want him to be hispanic, even though he's 50% hispanic.
This race classification stems back to slavery where if you had the tiniest bit of african american blood you were considered black. But if you could pass as white, you were classified as white. And from the pics I've seen his features from both parents are definitely present. He looks like a tanned white guy (living in Florida no less), with some minority blood in him. I dont think his minority features are that dominating that he couldn't pass as white.
That's why I believe his "whiteness" is even relevant - because it's a better story. I do agree with you there. Old White guy kills black teen is better than old hispanic guy kills black teen.
Also it's the same ol story - black person in a non black neighborhood, being followed around.
And I think he's 50% of both of those races in background and physical appearance (imo). Not like this guy looks like George Lopez.
Furthermore his lifestyle is that of a white man in Florida. That's another reason the white angle is being pushed. Because let's be real, armed hispanic dudes aren't self appointed captains of of neighborhood watches, hahah and don't follow black teens around with the police on the phone. That was the Zimmermann side of him.
I joke - I joke - I kid.
Dont need to ask A-Rod, my boy Ozzie "Castro" Guillen already told me that the only Mexico A-Rod is familiar with is Cancun.
And me, Jeff Garcia and Cameron Diaz go way back.
