I understand. I guess I have to laugh at someone that thinks shagging fly balls is any kind of fitness program or helped keep his longevity at this level.
Rivera didn't need to do any pre-game work or activity except for the work he does in the bullpen when the 7th or 8th inning arrive.
Pitching is not an aerobic activity. He could run 5 miles a day and it would not help the quality of his pitches. Practicing pitching improves quality and skills.
