Real Time Physics in Madden 13?

    This was via EA's twitter...
"A monumental change to Madden NFL gameplay creates the most authentic football experience to date, blurring the line between virtual and reality."
    As speculated by TGL Quick...
This was referring to the upcoming June 4th gameplay part 2 reveal. Also the community day players have blown up on Twitter saying OMG new gameplay just revealed to us and once you play this you will never be able to go back to another Madden. Also Pasta has speculated on his site with the following: @Pastapadre A lot of speculation that the big Madden announcement could be real time physics. That begs the question...how big of a deal would it be to get RTP in Madden in your opinion?
This seems to me like the biggest addition to Madden since Madden 06 implemented the high pass. No doubt it won't be perfect out the gate, but they could have used NHL's euphoria engine to create a base - which would give them a tremendous starting point. The hiccups that were seen in the 1st year that NHL implemented real-time physics could have been mostly bypassed if it was done correctly.

    What are your thoughts?

Im excited about it, with this RTP involved emphasized means if its a success this year, it can only get better for the later year titles and overall make it a better game. This kind of reminds me what the DEV team did for fifa with the individual players athletic tendencies. I think it makes a huge impact on the game and with the different trajectories and additional animations I think it will be more realistic to that degree...

Furthermore I wonder if any of the new animations favor the big guys on the Dline that can tip a ball up and catch a INT...Its a reach but it does happen in the NFL and its happening a lot more often with the level of athleticism on the Dline now and then.

I think it could be made to include that, but will probably have a buffer negating it being a factor unless they think it be implemented realistically. Real-time physics is a way to make this possible though. The Euphoria Engine should be able to handle it realistically if it's implemented properly.

RTP has been announced for the next NHL title but:

"..... blurring the line between virtual and reality." just reminds me of the "True to the Game" thing from last year's E3.

I can't get excited until I get hand's on myself. But you can best believe I'll be holding that bar that says "virtual/reality" to see if they actually leap it.

It's only speculation, but it's speculation by someone who has heard the excitement generated by this game from those who already have it. I've picked up a similar vibe. Guys that have the game get the shakes when they're away from it. Since they generally figure things out quickly when it comes to Madden, it bodes well for us - and certainly means something big has happened. Since NHL is doing it as well, Real-Time Physics is a very real possibility. Something has made this game crack.

This is the exact type of speculation (hype) EA wanted to generate for Madden 13 and they have succeeded. While they may never get ratings/attributes right, you can't deny their ability to market the game.

I will wait until the game is in my 360 before I believe anything that is coming out of EA or the GameChangers.

Some of the first things I will look for besides physics are: Dline/Oline interaction, a toned down strip (chicken wing) animation, are the players still skating instead of running, read/react defense, OVR formula (new or same garbage) and does it have Online Practice mode.

There are several other things that I will check out, but those will be at the top of my list.

Yeah thats huge for me too, I'm also hoping they add actual practice jerseys, where the QB's wear the all red jersey in practice.

I hope they make practice mode better. it sucks now. doesnt tell you when you score a touchdown. have to press start to re-spot. they need a practice mode where you can go on drives and when you score a touchdown it starts you over

Nucking Futz said that the Madden Team is teaming up with the Backbreaker Team. Is this true?
